This disclosure generally relates to an oil mitigation system and method for lubricating the piston(s) for electronic fuel injected internal combustion engines, incorporating cylinder deactivation technology. This concept leverages the engine's base fuel injection pulse width table, determines the fuel injection 'shutoff' state and, reduces the oiling to counter the reverse oil flow effect within the cylinder wall, past the ring set to the cylinder combustion chamber. This disclosure further comprises a system and method for mitigating oil consumption to all active cylinders, for accommodating all ranges of engine loading.

Control system and method to mitigate reverse oil flow to the combustion chamber on deactivated cylinders

A trusted accident avoidance control system supported on a vehicle operable to travel a path, and comprising at least first and second location determination components operable to estimate a current position of the vehicle. An error correction component can receive the estimated current position information from the first and second location determination components and determine an updated estimated current position of the vehicle based on these, wherein the error correction component can be operable with a path database to identify a predetermined threshold velocity for the updated estimated current position of the vehicle. A velocity management component can determine, based on the updated estimated current position, whether a current velocity of the vehicle exceeds the predetermined threshold velocity, and if so, initiate an accident avoidance measure. The trusted accident avoidance control system is self-contained to the vehicle, not relying on outside sources to generate any estimated current positions.

The non-lethal naval vessel interdiction weapon includes a hydrodynamic hull, guidance and delivery systems housed in the hydrodynamic hull with the delivery system being controllable by the guidance system to drive a naval vessel impeding payload toward a target and a deployment system. The deployment system is configured to prepare the hydrodynamic hull for payload deployment and to deploy the naval vessel impeding payload toward the target following hull preparation.

Non-lethal naval vessel interdiction weapon

An apparatus includes a capsule configured to be launched or carried towards an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). The apparatus also includes a directed energy device within or carried by the capsule. The directed energy device includes a first inductor configured to generate an inductive magnetic field that is able to inductively couple into one or more electronics of the UAV in order to disable or destabilize the UAV. The capsule can be configured to be launched towards the UAV and can include a loiter mechanism (such as a rotor, umbrella, or parachute) configured to maintain a position of the capsule or to slow a descent of the capsule after launch. The capsule can also be configured to be carried towards the UAV by a different UAV, and the apparatus can further include a tether coupling the capsule to the different UAV.

Directed energy delivery systems capable of disrupting air-based predatory threats

A multi-axis self-contained sensor system includes an outer spherical housing and an inner spherical housing. The outer spherical housing has a transparent spherical shell that surrounds a first cavity and having a first refractive index (RI). The inner spherical housing is in the first cavity and is completely surrounded by the outer spherical housing. The inner spherical housing has a first average density and includes a spherical wall that surrounds a second cavity. A sensor system is contained in the second cavity, and a suspending fluid layer is interposed between the outer spherical housing and the inner spherical housing. The suspending fluid layer is composed of a fluid having a second RI.

Multiple axis self-contained spherical sensor system

A track collision avoidance control system including a train having an onboard control system for controlling one or more characteristics of the train. The track collision avoidance control system can further include a warning indication system comprising a transmitter linked to a communication system supported about the train, the communication system comprising a receiver operable to receive a signal from the transmitter, the signal comprising information pertaining to a potentially dangerous condition. The transmitter can be operable alone or in combination with a warning indicator, an actuator and their associated logic circuitry, such that the transmitter is caused to transmit upon the warning indicator being activated. The communication system can interface with an onboard control system of the train. The communication system can receive the signal, which can be used to facilitate an avoidance action to be taken relative to the train.

Track collision avoidance control system

A system and method of reducing soot and/or improving the efficiency of a motor. The system and method regulates the supply of cooling oil to a cooling section of a cylinder based upon observed parameters. These parameters can include such things as engine temperature, load, rpm etc. The control can be provided by using a look up table.
