Embodiments are directed to a method and device for coupling an optical fiber sensing element to an apparatus under test. A channel is affixed to the apparatus under test. The channel is partially filled with a coupling material. The fiber optic sensing element is placed on the coupling material. Coupling material is placed in the channel to uniformly surround the fiber optic sensing element and tightly couple the fiber optic sensing element to the apparatus under test.

Affixing fiber optic sensing element to an apparatus

A cable conduit system for a building frame structure having a bottom plate associated with each floor and a top plate associated with each ceiling. The system comprises a conduit stud and first and second header plates. The conduit stud has at least one cavity extending longitudinally from a first end to a second end. The first header plate is adapted to be fixedly mounted to an upper surface of the frame structure bottom plate and the second plate is adapted to be fixedly mounted to a lower surface of the frame structure top plate, respectively. The first end portion of the conduit stud is locked to the first header plate and the second end portion of the conduit stud is locked to the second header plate.

Cable conduit system

An optical fiber management module assembly for mounting in a patch panel aperture and includes an adapter having a housing portion at its proximal end providing a cavity dimensioned and configured to seat the proximal end of a jack therein and having a channel portion at the other end providing a channel leading into the cavity. The housing portion has arms which engage the patch panel. Engaged with the distal end of the adapter is a projecting arm of a fiber management clip having an engagement portion at its proximal end with side walls defining a recess for the distal end of the jack. The clip also has a guidance portion at its other end thereon with channels extending longitudinally thereof in which optical fibers may be seated, and a latch extending over the channels and engaged with the guidance portion to retain the fibers in the channels.

Optical fiber management module assembly

The present invention teaches a cable management system for supporting and routing cables. The cable management system includes one or more cable supports attached to a support structure such as a wall or electronics cabinet. Each cable support includes one or more cable spools detachably mounted to a spool guide. The spool guide includes a channel extending along its length and in-turned flanges that extend partially across the opening of the channel. Each cable spool includes a spool body and a coupler. The coupler has a retractable brace that can be inserted into the channel, rotated and retracted toward the spool body for clamping the in-turned flanges between the brace and the spool body.
