Systems and methods for track vehicle control are provided. In one embodiment, a method comprises: receiving a steering control signal; inputting a first rotation signal from a first encoder representing a rotational frequency and phase of a first electric motor coupled to a first continuous track mechanism; inputting a second rotation signal from a second encoder representing a rotational frequency and phase of a second electric motor coupled to a second continuous track mechanism; and outputting motor control signals to a first and second motor controllers in response to the steering control signal and differences between the rotational frequency and phase for the first electric motor and the rotational frequency and phase for the second electric motor, wherein the first motor controller is coupled to the first electric motor and the second motor controller is coupled to the second electric motor.

Systems and methods for electric track vehicle control

Systems for dynamic reallocation of bandwidth and modulation protocols is provided. In one embodiment, a radio head interface module comprises: a transmit buffer adapted to receive a data stream from a signal processing module and store the data stream as a page of data samples having a page header; a transmit engine; a digital upconverter, the transmit engine adapted to transfer the page of data samples from the transmit buffer to the digital upconverter; a configuration management unit adapted to receive reconfiguration information from the signal processing module, the reconfiguration information including at least one of air interface protocol parameters and bandwidth allocation information; and a memory adapted with digital upconverter parameters. The configuration management unit is accesses the memory to lookup associated digital upconverter parameters based on the reconfiguration information. The configuration management unit is further adapted to output the associated digital upconverter parameters to the digital up converter.

Dynamic reallocation of bandwidth and modulation protocols

Methods and systems for reconfiguring communications systems are provided. In one embodiment, a radio head interface for a communications system comprises: a first interface for communicating with a signal processing module digitally performing waveform processing to modulate and demodulate radio signals; a second interface for communicating with a radio head for transmitting and receiving wireless radio signals; a first buffer coupled to the first interface for receiving a page of data from the signal processing module, the page of data comprising a page header for communicating reconfiguration parameters and a plurality of digital radio frequency samples representing a modulated radio signal; at least one digital frequency converter coupled to the second interface; and a configuration management unit, the configuration management unit adapted to receive the reconfiguration parameters from the page header and reconfigure the at least one digital frequency converter based on the reconfiguration parameters.

Dynamic reconfiguration of resources through page headers

A method and system for reducing the overall noise floor in a wireless communication system, subsystem or network are disclosed, which reduces the output gain levels of specific uplink antenna transmitters during non-signal time periods (e.g., rest mode) when no communication signals are being conveyed between the mobile unit(s) and base station involved. The output gain level of each such uplink antenna's transmitter is decreased by a predetermined amount, which reduces the noise contribution of that uplink antenna, but also maintains the gain at a high enough level so that a signal can still pass from a mobile unit to the base station via that link, for example, during a call initiation attempt.

Method and system for reducing uplink noise in wireless communication systems

A scalable network is provided. The network includes a remote device coupled to an antenna and adapted to communicate with subscriber units over an RF link, a switching device coupled to the remote device, and a radio suite coupled to the switching device. The radio suite includes two or more radios, each radio performs the functions of a base station transceiver. The switching device interconnects the radio suite with the remote device. Each radio supports one or more air interface standards.

Scalable distributed radio network

A communications system dynamically reconfigurable for RF bandwidth and modulation protocols is disclosed. A server comprises one or more radio head interface modules and a call processing software module adapted to communicate with each other. The call processing software is adapted to perform modulation and demodulation of voice and data streams using one or more air interface protocols. A radio head unit coupled to the radio head interface module communicates with one or more subscriber units. The radio head interface module receives either air interface protocol configuration information, or RF signal bandwidth allocation information, from the call processing software module for one or more communication channels, the information providing a timing trigger and a protocol or bandwidth for one or more communication channels. The radio head interface module reconfigures itself for one or more communications channels, based on the change instructed by the call processing software.

Systems and methods for the analog transport of RF voice/data communications are provided. In one embodiment, a method for transporting analog multi-band RF signals is provided. The method comprises receiving a first multi-band RF signal from a first communications medium, the first multi-band RF signal including a first RF frequency band and one or more additional RF frequency bands; separating the first RF frequency band from the multi-band RF signal; varying a power level of the first RF frequency band; recombining the first RF frequency band with the one or more additional RF frequency bands into a second multi-band RF signal; and transmitting the second multi-band RF signal on a second communications medium.

Systems and methods for analog transport of RF voice/data communications

A frequency hopping communications system is disclosed. A server is adapted to have one or more radio head interface modules and a call processing software module. The call processing software module performs modulation and demodulation of voice and data streams using one or more air interface standards. A radio head unit is coupled to the radio head interface module over one or more transport mediums and communicates with one or more subscriber units using the one or more air interface standards. The one or more radio head interface modules, are adapted to receive frequency channel hopping information, including a channel and a time to hop trigger, from the call processing software module for one or more of a plurality of communication channels.

System and methods for the dynamic readjustment of power are provided. In one embodiment a communications system comprises a base station including one or more radio head interface modules and a signal processing module, the radio head interface modules adapted to communicate with the signal processing module. The signal processing module performs modulation and demodulation of voice and data streams using one or more air interface protocols. The system further comprises a radio head unit coupled to the radio head interface modules over one or more transport mediums. The radio head unit communicates with one or more subscriber units using the air interface protocols. The radio head interface modules receive power level adjustment parameters from the signal processing module for one or more logical channels. The one or more radio head interface modules reconfigure a signal gain of one or more communications channels based on the power level adjustment parameters.

Dynamic readjustment of power

Methods and systems for reconfiguring communications systems are provided. A communications system comprises one or more radio head interface modules and a call processing software module. The one or more radio head interface modules are adapted to communicate with the call processing software module. The call processing software module performs modulation and demodulation of voice and data streams using one or more air interface standards. The one or more radio head interface modules receive reconfiguration parameters from the call processing software module for one or more logical channels. The call processing software module and the one or more radio head interface modules communicate one or more pages of data samples to each other, each of the one or more pages of data samples having a page header. Reconfiguration parameters are contained in the page header.

Systems and methods for maintaining data stream synchronization are provided. A system comprises one or more radio head interface modules and a call processing software module each adapted to communicate with each other. The call processing software module performs modulation and demodulation of voice and data streams using one or more air interface standards. The call processing software module communicates a forward data stream to a first radio head interface module. The forward data stream comprises a plurality of data samples representing voice and data streams and a plurality of fixed synchronization words. When the first radio head interface module does not observe the receipt of a first fixed synchronization word of the plurality of fixed synchronization words word from the call processing software module when expected, the first radio head interface module concludes that it has lost synchronization with the call processing software module.

Loss of page synchronization

A dynamically reconfigurable communications system is presented. The communications system comprises a server, including one or more radio head interface modules, a call processing software module, and a radio head unit coupled to the radio head interface module over one or more transport mediums. The one or more radio head interface modules adapted to communicate with the call processing software module, wherein the call processing software performs modulation and demodulation of voice and data streams using one or more air interface protocols. The radio head unit communicates with one or more subscriber units using the one or more air interface protocols. The radio head interface module receives power level adjustment parameters from the call processing software module for one or more logical channels and reconfigures the signal gain of one or more communications channels based on the power level adjustment parameters.
