A fuel intake assembly may include a main tube () defining a fuel channel () at least one flapper () pivotally secured within the main tube (), and a selective nozzle inhibitor () proximate the at least one flapper (). The least one flapper closes the fuel channel () in a closed position. The selective nozzle inhibitor () allows a first nozzle having a first diameter to move the at least one flapper into an open position. The selective nozzle inhibitor () allows a second nozzle having a second diameter to move the at least one-flapper into the open position, wherein the second diameter is greater than the first diameter. The selective nozzle inhibitor () prevents a third nozzle having a third diameter to open the at least one flapper, wherein the third diameter is less than the first diameter.

Selective fuel nozzle inhibiting system

A damper that is mounted to a printed circuit board of an automobile's climate control system includes a tactile feel and torque control mechanism for the user as the user controls the temperature and climate within the interior of an automobile. The damper incorporates a plurality of detents that engage with a plurality of ribs or similar protrusions for providing the desired tactile feel and torque control in the control knob of the climate control system. The printed circuit board used with the automobile's climate control system has an integrated polymer thick film (PTF) circuit that replaces the traditional circuit board technology, thereby eliminating the need for separately mounted potentiometers and resistors as those items can be printed onto the polymer circuit. The printed circuit board is less expensive to manufacture over existing circuit board technology, is easier to assemble, results in fewer parts, and is environmentally friendly as no soldering of components is required. In addition, the invention is impervious to cleaning processes and solutions and is more durable over other known systems and technologies.

Damper and an assembly therewith

The control knob engages, on its interior, a translucent polycarbonate jewel body collar assembly of a first color, such as white, which, in turn, provides a housing for a translucent polycarbonate jewel LED holder assembly. The LED emits light, possibly modified by the jewel LED holder assembly, of a second color, such as blue or blue-green. This second color can be varied in intensity and hue by varying the polarity and resistance of the LED. The jewel body collar assembly includes a collar to engage the interior cylindrical support section of the control knob and a housing assembly to engage the jewel LED holder assembly. The jewel body collar assembly further includes a ridge which protrudes through a slot in the sidewall and front face of the control knob thereby forming an indicator for the control knob. In ambient illumination, such as during the day, the indicator appears to be the color of the jewel body collar assembly, such as white. However, when the LED is electrically illuminated, such as during the night, the illumination passes through the jewel LED holder assembly, and the resulting color, such as blue or blue-green, is projected through the ridge of the jewel body collar assembly and the indicator appears to be blue or blue-green. An alternative embodiment mounts the LED on a mount assembly which is fastened to the control shaft and which extends into the interior of the control knob.

Control knob using LED for backlighting

The control knob includes an aperture with a D-shaped cross section. The aperture is formed by a relatively rigid planar portion and an arcuate portion which further includes a relatively flexible inner concentric portion and a relatively rigid flexible outer concentric portion. The relatively flexible inner concentric portion is attached to the relatively rigid planar portion by living hinges and further includes outwardly pointing stop bumps. The outwardly pointing stop bumps are spaced from said relatively rigid flexible outer concentric portion when no rotational torque is applied to the control knob with respect to the shaft and the structure allows torsional elasticity when a limited amount of rotational torque is applied to the control knob. However, when torque is applied which exceeds a threshold, the stop bumps are urged against the relatively flexible inner concentric portion and additional torsional elasticity and additional rotation is limited. The relatively rigid planar portion further includes a stop bump along a portion thereof which limits insertion of the shaft, but which collapses upon sudden impact to allow additional insertion of the shaft into the control knob.
