A board game including a base board and an upper board shiftable within limits atop the base board in either of two transverse directions. The base board bearing sets of danger, safe, and return indicators and the upper board has graphics of a pathway through a castle. Openings along the pathway extend through the upper board to expose some of the danger and return indicators. Each player is provided with a marker movable from opening to opening plus shift board, obstacle/peril, and defense/escape cards, the obstacle/peril cards being playable on an opponent whose token is on a danger indicator. Failure to defend against or escape a peril or obstacle causes the player to return to the last exposed return spot.

A board game in which the board has a plurality of congruent playing spaces with each space adjacent to at least one other space. A primary playing piece, which has a base and an upright body portion connected to the base, is provided with arms pivotally mounted on the body portion and spanned by a transverse bar to provide for a forward pivotally thrusting movement of the hand ends of the arms. Secondary playing pieces on adjacent spaces that are facing the primary playing piece may be zapped or knocked over by the forward pivotal thrust of the arms. The pieces are provided with a base and an upright body portion that is higher than either dimension of the base to facilitate knocking over the piece when it is zapped. Wall indicia along lines defined by adjacent spaces prevent movement of the pieces across the wall but permit zapping of a secondary piece by a primary piece across the wall.

Board game having pieces with pivotal arm

A board game with a board is divided into a grid work of road and off-road rough terrain spaces. Each player is provided with a colored paired 'BIG FOOT' truck and a crushable car. The object of the game is to land on opponents' crushable cars with the truck. A shift lever on the truck indicates whether it is in 'Two-Wheel Drive' for road moves, or 'Four-Wheel Drive' for rough terrain or landing on an opponent's crushable car. Each turn may include any combination of truck and/or crushable car moves plus shifting of the truck between 'Two-Wheel' and 'Four-Wheel'. The number of moves to be made by a player is determined by rolling dice.

Board game

A board racing game in which the track includes a number of shiftable straight segments positioned between adjacent fixed segments that are offset with respect with each other fixed curve segments so that the shiftable track may be aligned with either fixed segment. The rules permit a player to shift the track to either assist the advancement of the player's own racing token or to impede the progress of the opponents' tokens. Common blocking pieces movable by any player are also provided for use in impeding the progress of the racing tokens. Each player is provided with a set of cards containing various predetermined moves which the player arranges in the order the player wishes to make the moves. The sets differ from each other by the extent of movement permitted by one card in inverse relationship to the starting position of the player.

Board racing game

A board game in which an articulated token is moveable along a serpentine path on a game board having path rows of spaces separated by intermediate zones with each intermediate zone containing an end turning space. The token has a number of disks joined together by a bead chain that permits a disk to be turned from one side to the opposite side, which is distinguished by color or other indicia, independently of the other disk segments as well as to permit the movement of the token along the serpentine path. A shooter moveable along the edge of the board is provided for hitting individual disk segments rendering them inoperable and requiring the player to turn the hit segments over to indicate their inoperability. Blocking tokens, both moveable and fixed, are also provided to protect the articulated token from being hit by the shooter as well as to hinder movement of the articulated token along the serpentine path.

A board game in which a horizontal playing surface is defined by an array of hexagonal spaces, each space abutting the adjacent space, and a number of vertical walls disposed along lines formed by adjacent hexagonal spaces. Player start spaces are provided and a target is located on a site remote from the start spaces. Available paths of movement from space to space are limited by the walls but the player token has a marker movable parallel to the planar surface and transverse to the playing surface to pass over a wall. Both the player and the target may attack each other when they are on an aligned file of spaces, however, the target is further required to be facing the player token in order to attack. The playing spaces include defense zones armed by the presence of a defense playing piece in the form of a missile silo or cannon and activated by a chance drum borne by the target along with a number chance drum. The player's token is in the form of a plane or rocket and play is commenced with certain fuel allocations that may be increased by landing the token on fuel tanks on the playing surface.

A board game includes a game board with a pattern of playing positions, defined on a playing surface, conveniently arranged in a gridwork pattern. A first set of playing pieces, positionable on the various playing positions defined on the playing surface, are arranged initially equally on two opposite sides of the game board. The two separated groups of playing pieces are movable across the game board towards one another, the object of the game being for each of the players to get his or her assigned group of playing pieces across the board to the other side before the other player. The second set of playing pieces are positionable on the various playing positions defined on the playing surface and are movable transversely across the game board in order to help or interfere with the progress of the first set of playing pieces across the game board. A chance selection device governs the movements of both the first and second sets of playing pieces.

A board game for two to four players in which each player is assigned an individual, flippable, playing piece that is used to chase an exchangable general playing piece which is able to earn points. The players move their pieces on a board having a number of paths of spaced indicia with reversible and collectable markers positioned atop the indicia. Initially one of the players is determined to be the one using the exchangable playing piece. The exchangable piece carries a spinner for determining its advancability. The other players, using another spinner, chase and try to catch the exchangable piece with the aggressive character of their assigned pieces facing upwardly. When an encounter between the general piece and one of the assigned pieces occurs, the outcome is determined by which side of the assigned piece faces upwardly. The character of the assigned pieces may be changed either by the spinner or by returning to the starting position.

A playing piece propelling game device includes a generally dish-shaped open-topped playing surface divided into a plurality of compartments which are defined on the surface by a plurality of radially arranged upstanding walls on the surface. The surface further includes a generally horizontal peripheral flange. An upstanding receptacle is defined centrally on the playing surface for receiving one or more playing pieces in the form of discs. A manually actuable propelling apparatus is aligned with the receptacle and attached to the playing surface for propelling the playing pieces from the receptacle onto the playing surface. The propelling apparatus includes a U-shaped leaf spring with a pair of spaced apart downwardly directed arms upon which the playing surface is supported. The propelling means is arranged to propel the playing pieces upwardly in response to a downward actuation applied to the flange in a direction of flight determined by the manner and angle of application of the force to the flange.

The toy movie camera of the present invention comprises a housing having aligned viewing apertures in opposite wall portions separated by a manually rotatable opaque disc having one or more slots or apertures therein capable of being aligned with the housing viewing apertures, periodically and controllably, by manual rotation of the disc within the housing. A click sounder is also included for producing a click sound only when the disc aperture is approximately in alignment with the housing viewing apertures. The click sounder includes a spring biased strip to be intermittently contacted by a pin mounted on an axle and rotated with the disc. The disc aperture is located relative to the pin position and to be out of alignment with the housing viewing apertures when the pin is biased by the spring biased strip.

A competitive action game apparatus includes a playing surface defined on a base movably mounting at least two figures for relative movement. The figures each include a manual actuator and at least one pivotal, removably attached, outwardly extending arm which includes, on the outer end thereof, a hook or similar grabbing device for hooking onto an object. The actuator comprises a depending handle or similar member which is attached to the body for rotating the body relative to the playing surface. In the preferred embodiment, the two figures each include a plurality of arms and are rotatably mounted on the surface at locations such that the hook ends of the arms can engage one another, detaching one of the arms from the corresponding figure thereby providing a fighting action.

Combative game apparatus

A toy vehicle is disclosed including a vehicle body or housing including a front projectile receiving channel and a separate top projectile exit channel. The housing includes a wheel actuated impeller for carrying the projectile from the front projectile receiving channel to the top projectile exit channel. An impeller stop member is provided to temporarily stop the flexible impeller to bias the impeller until sufficient biasing force is accumulated in the impeller to snap the impeller beyond the stop member and strike the projectile with the snapping force of the impeller to propel the projectile out of the projectile exit channel and thereby out of the toy vehicle.

A game apparatus includes a stationary base with a playing surface and housing rotatably mounted thereon in driving engagement with a spring motor. The playing surface includes a hemispherical central portion and a centrally mounted chute for dropping playing objects onto the playing surface. A circular flange is secured to the outer peripheral edge of the central portion and includes a plurality of receptacles, a first preselected number of which are of a configuration to retain the playing objects received from the central portion. A second preselected number of the receptacles are of a configuration to allow the playing object to pass therethrough. Pivotally mounted on the base are one or more player operated levers for engaging a playing object captured within one of the first type of receptacles for attempted dislodgement and movement to one of the second type for a score.

A toy motor vehicle includes a body supported by wheels for rolling movement over a supporting surface. The body is provided with a first compartment having a transparent wall segment and a second compartment in communication therewith having opaque walls. A plurality of balls representing gallons of fuel are adapted to be contained in the respective compartments and means is provided for moving the balls from the first compartment into the second compartment as the toy vehicle is moved around, thus simulating the using up and eventually running out of gas when all the balls are moved out of view into the second, opaque-walled compartment. A gas pump element is detachably connectable with the vehicle and includes a rotating flexible shaft which is adapted to drive a mechanism in the vehicle for returning the fuel elements or balls from the opaque compartment back into the first compartment to simulate refueling of the vehicle at a gas pump. Each time a ball is returned into the first compartment a bell is rung to simulate the action of a gas pump.

Toy motor vehicle

A game includes a playing field that in the preferred embodiment may be concave toward a goal in the form of a central aperture. A playing object such as, in the preferred embodiment, a ball is included with the game and the object of the game is to move the ball into the goal. At least one player actuated paddle member is pivotally mounted on the playing field and may be manually actuated by the hand of a player of the game to engage the playing object in an attempt to direct it into the goal. The playing field is positioned on a base and supported thereabove to allow the hand of the player to grasp a handle depending from the peddle member through and beneath the playing field. The playing field preferably includes a surrounding or peripheral rim on which a scoring device for recording the score of the player is mounted.
