The present invention provides a vehicle including a frame, a rear wheel, a swingarm coupling the rear wheel to the frame, and a pivot shaft assembly rotatably coupling the swingarm to the frame. The pivot shaft assembly includes a first shaft having a non-circular outer surface engageable with a corresponding non-circular aperture in the frame. The pivot shaft assembly also includes a second shaft threaded to one end of the first shaft. The second shaft pivotably supports one side of the swingarm with respect to the frame. The pivot shaft assembly further includes a third shaft threaded to the other end of the first shaft. The third shaft pivotably supports the other side of the swingarm with respect to the frame.

An engine adapted to mount to a frame assembly including a steering head, a downtube, a rear junction, a rear tie link, a front mount assembly, and an engine bracket. The engine includes a crankcase assembly having a rearward end defining a rear attachment point adapted to engage the rear junction, a rear tie link attachment portion disposed below the rear attachment point adapted to engage the rear tie link, and a forward end defining a forward attachment point adapted to engage the front mount assembly. An engine cylinder assembly extends from the crankcase assembly and is adapted to be coupled to the engine bracket.

Engine mounting system for a motorcycle

A motorcycle including an engine assembly that is resiliently supported by a frame assembly. First and second resilient mount assemblies resiliently couple rearward and forward ends of the engine to the frame. A group of tie links, each extending generally transversely to the frame, are arranged to reduce transverse movement of the engine with respect to the frame, while allowing movement of the engine in fore-aft and up-down directions with respect to the frame to isolate engine vibrations. Each of the first and second mount assemblies includes a pair of substantially identical resilient mounts. The resilient mounts are configured to have a limited range of motion, thereby limiting the overall movement of the engine with respect to the frame.

The present invention is an apparatus for regulating the amonut of oil, lubricant, or other type of lubricant applied to a surface of a work piece in order to reduce friction during a machining process. It comprises a primary reservoir, a needle valve, float assembly, a liquid drop control orifice, a sight for allowing visual confirmation of the flow rate, an atmospheric vent, an inlet for pressurized air, and a nozzle. The needle valve is slidably engaged into an orifice in the primary reservoir and is actuated by the float assembly. The float assembly floats in the low volume constant depth reservoir and controls the degree to which the needle valve need be open in order to maintain a constant volume of lubricant in the low volume constant depth reservoir. As the volume increases to the required level, the needle valve will close. As the volume decreases, the needle valve will open in order to maintain a constant level of lubricant in the reservoir. Located below the low volume constant depth reservoir is a liquid drop control orifice. This orifice may be adjusted to control the flow of liquid out of the low volume constant depth reservoir. Below the liquid drop control orifice is the sight. The sight is vented to the atmosphere. Additionally, an assembly including a spring, piston, cylinder, and valve can be added to the present invention such that it will only function only when properly pressurized by shop air.
