Strains ofwhich are superior antagonists offor suppression and control of FHB in cereals, particularly in wheat and barley, are described. The strains are prothioconazole tolerant variants of previously describedOH 182.9 (NRRL Y-30216). Moreover, these prothioconazole tolerant variants exhibit significantly increased efficacy againstin comparison to the parent strain OH 182.9.

Three choline utilizing strains of microorganisms isolated from the anthers of wheat,strain AS 55.2,species strain OH 221.3, andspecies strain AS 64.4, are superior antagonists of. These microorganisms are effective for suppression and control of FHB in cereals, particularly in wheat and barley.

Choline-utilizing microbial strains for biologically controlling fusarium head blight

A grease extractor for removing grease from culinary utensils includes a substantially hollow housing formed of a pair of separable sections. Within the housing is an impeller chamber with a vacuum impeller removably received therein. Attached to the housing and positioned adjacent the impeller is an electric motor. A pivotal suction nozzle is removably attached to the housing and is in communication with the impeller chamber. The nozzle is elongated and tapered towards an inlet. Removably attached to the nozzle inlet is one of a plurality of interchangeable vacuum tips. A grease reservoir is removably secured to the housing and is in communication with the impeller chamber for collecting grease extracted from a culinary utensil or other external device.

Microbial antagonists that will suppress Fusarium head blight (head scab) in cereals, particularly in wheat and barley have been identified. Two superior antagonists include NRRL B-30210 and NRRL B-30211.
