The present invention relates to a mobile crane boom having a self-sufficient energy supply arranged on it for supplying hydraulic energy to at least one hydraulic load arranged on the mobile crane boom. The supply of the hydraulic load arranged on the mobile crane boom is therefore not carried out by means of a hydraulic unit arranged on the revolving superstructure of the crane, which provides the hydraulic energy to each hydraulic load via hoses, but by means of a hydraulic unit which is arranged in the upper reaches of the mobile crane boom or in the area of the linkage of any second boom section. By arranging the hydraulic unit directly on the boom, the hoses normally required for supplying the hydraulic loads can be eliminated.

A mobile crane includes an under carriage, a superstructure that is rotatably mounted on the superstructure, and a main boom, which is composed of a base body and several telescopic lengths up to a predetermined maximum number, which slide into one another and can be extended from the base body. The main boom is mounted on the superstructure so that it can rotate about a horizontal axis and its inclination can be adjusted by means of a hydraulic tilting cylinder that is hinged on the superstructure and the base body. A maximum permissible weight is predefined for the main boom, as a result of a restriction on the permissible axle load of the mobile crane during road haulage. The crane is also provided with a lifting capacity increasing device, which significantly increases the lifting capacity of the main boom when the telescopic lengths are extended, in relation to the state without the lifting capacity increasing device. The lifting capacity increasing device, as part of the standard basic equipment of the mobile crane, is connected in a fixed manner to the main boom, while maintaining the maximum number of telescopic lengths that are carried.

A telescopic crane, includes a substructure, a superstructure rotatably mounted onto the substructure, a counterweight and a telescoping boom structure which includes a main boom slewable about a luffing plane. The main boom has a boom base and at least one telescope section received in the boom base and displaceable between retracted and extended positions. At least one guy support is mounted to the boom structure and connected to a guy rope which extends substantially longitudinally in the direction of the boom structure. The guy support is oriented with respect to the luffing plane at an inclination which is so selected that a lateral load acting on the boom structure is partially or entirely received by the guying.

A locking unit for a telescopic system of a hydraulically actuated telescopic jib of a crane, having a jib box frame and a plurality of telescopic sections which are guided inside one another and can be moved out of a starting position into in each case at least one extended position is provided with a drive for moving at least one driver bolt of a locking unit into and out of a section receptive driver bolt opening, and for moving a coupling device for displacement of at least one locking bolt into and out of a locking bolt receptive opening, the drive being arranged fixedly on the box frame of the jib, there being a mechanical drive connection between the drive and the locking unit.

A telescopic boom for crane, in particular mobile cranes, includes a base section and a plurality of boom sections received in the base section and telescopically extendible and retractable. The base section and the boom sections are each made of a profile comprised of an upper shell and a lower shell which are joined together at their confronting walls, with the upper shell having a nominal wall thickness which is equal or smaller than a nominal wall thickness of the lower shell. At least one portion of the upper and lower shells includes, as viewed in cross section, two outer thin metal sheets which are placed in spaced-apart relationship to define an intermediate space therebetween.

Telescopic boom for cranes

A crane includes a telescopic jib having telescopic jib sections and a base jib. The telescopic sections are arranged so that they can be axially moved into and out of the base jib individually. Locking pins are used hold the telescopic sections in place once they are in the required position. A hydraulic piston-cylinder unit arranged in the telescopic jib can push or pull individual jib sections when the respective locking bolts are removed. The movable portion of the piston-cylinder unit has two securing and locking units located at opposing ends of the movable portion. To move the jib section, one of the securing and locking units is connected to the jib section to be moved and the movement of the movable portions pushed or pulls the telescopic section. Once the jib section is moved to a desired position, the locking pin is reinserted to hold the position of the jib section. Since there are two securing and locking units, the piston-cylinder unit is approximately half the length of the telescopic section.

A telescopic boom section for a mobile crane including an upper inverted U-shaped longitudinal section and a lower convexo-concave longitudinal section. The upper section and the lower section are welded to each other along the seams formed by the longitudinal edges of the upper and the lower sections such that the concave surface of the lower section and the U-shaped wall of the upper section defines a cavity therewithin. The lower section includes a plurality of arcuate segments disposed sequentially across the concave surface and which are formed by a cold roll die.

An apparatus for reducing the axle load of a multiaxle movable crane which includes a truck; a superstructure rotatably mounted on the truck; a main jib including a basic jib and at least one telescopic section, the basic jib having a plurality of rollers fastened in operative connection, the main jib being releasably fastened to the superstructure; and a semitrailer having a front end and a back end with a loading area, a first ramp-like beam and a second ramp-like beam arranged in a longitudinal direction of the semitrailer in the loading area so as to be parallel to and at a distance from one another, each ramp-like beam having a top edge and a contoured runway disposed along the top edge, the rollers being configured to the contour of the runway and operable to transport the main jib from the superstructure to the semitrailer.
