A system and method for sharing services provides for generating one or more trigger conditions associated with a process executable in a source container having a source namespace in a source pod, executing the process in the source container, and when a trigger condition occurs, interrupting the executed process and moving the process into a target pod by switching from the source namespace of the source container to a target namespace of the target pod. The trigger condition may be associated with a service executable in a target container having the target namespace in the target pod.

System and method for in-process namespace switching

Methods and systems for executing dumping of main memory content and CPU states and for an adaptive boot. The methods and the systems provide a configuration list of the computer system comprising a pre-defined set of dedicated resources for the dumping, provide threshold values for a pre-defined set of minimum resources for executing a reboot of the computer system, assign the pre-defined set of the dedicated resources for executing the dumping, start the dumping, release ones of the dedicated resources after content of the ones of the dedicated resources has been dumped, start a reboot process of the computer system in response to determining that the ones of the dedicated resources exceeds the threshold values for the pre-defined set of the minimum resources for executing the reboot process, and continue to release others of the dedicated resources to the reboot process until the dumping is completed.

Creating an operating system dump. A main memory of a computer system is divided into at least three contiguous memory areas, comprising a primary memory area, a secondary memory area and a data memory area. A first instance of an OS (operating system) is booted into the main memory, a second instance of the operating system is loaded into the secondary memory area using the active first instance of the operating system, execution of the first active instance of the OS is stopped if a critical execution error occurs, and the computer system is re-started using the loaded second instance of the operating system which becomes the active instance of the OS. A dump of the primary memory area is created, and a third instance of the operating system is loaded into the primary memory area.
