There is provided systems and methods for performing actions based on light signatures. An exemplary system includes a light source, a light detector, a non-transitory memory storing a plurality of light signatures and a hardware processor. The hardware processor executes an executable code to illuminate, using the light source, a target object with a first light, collect, using the light detector, a second light being a reflection of the first light by the target object, match the second light with one of the plurality of light signatures, and perform an action in response to matching the second light with the one of the plurality of light signatures.

An embodiment provides a motorized monopole for a camera, including: a hand-held monopole; a first motor positioned at an end of the hand-held monopole; a first connecting element attached to the first motor; a second motor positioned at an end of the first connecting element; a second connecting element attached to the second motor; a third motor positioned at an end of the second connecting element; and a camera mounting plate attached to the second connecting element by the third motor, where components of the multi-axis gimbal are positioned such that a camera viewing axis, a horizontal image axis, and a vertical image axis of a camera mounted on the camera mounting plate need not be aligned with any of a rotational axis of the first motor, a rotational axis of the second motor, or a rotational axis of the third motor. Motorized monopod jib for cameras

An apparatus displaying content to a viewer by adjusting parameters of the content or display devices based on environmental or display device changes. The apparatus includes a display device with a screen providing digital content. A thematic overlay is provided over the display screen to provide diffuse reflection of light striking the front surface. The output light is a combination of the displayed content from the screen and reflection of light from the thematic overlay. The apparatus includes a digital signage benchmarking tool with an output sensing element a benchmarking module processing the sensed output light to generate output light-based data. The apparatus includes a feedback control module modifying a parameter of the display device based on the output light-based data to modify chromaticity or illumination levels of the display device. The feedback control module operates to modify the digital content to provide the displayed content having an adjusted chromaticity.

Output light monitoring for benchmarking and enhanced control of a display system

There is provided a system and method for creating tactile content by using an audio stream. The method includes capturing an audio stream using a microphone, processing the audio stream to generate an audio data stream, executing a haptic algorithm using the audio data stream to generate an activation pattern for a plurality of actuators, and activating the plurality of actuators according to the activation pattern. The activation pattern is generated from the audio data stream based on both a frequency of the audio stream and triggering sounds in the audio stream. The plurality of actuators include both voice coils and vibrating motors.
