A method for evaluating measurement data that are obtained by a plurality of sensors. The method includes: the measurement data originating from sensors of a first group are processed by a function evaluation module to form a function signal that, when it is supplied to a driving dynamics system of a vehicle, causes the driving dynamics system to carry out a driving task; the measurement data originating from a second group of sensors are processed by at least a first safety evaluation module to form a first safety signal that, when it is supplied to the driving dynamics system, causes the driving dynamics system to prevent a specified undesired event of the vehicle, the second group containing a proper subset of the first group; the function signal is aggregated with the first safety signal to form a control signal that is capable of being outputted to the driving dynamics system.

Measurement data evaluation for vehicle-dynamics systems having protection of the intended function

A driver assistance system of a vehicle includes: at least one ultrasonic sensor for ascertaining the distance of the vehicle from an obstacle, the sensor being supplied with electrical energy by an onboard electrical system of the vehicle; and an undervoltage detector for detecting an undervoltage in the onboard electrical system, in the event of which the power requirement of the ultrasonic sensor is reduced.

Increasing the availability of ultrasound-based driver assistance systems in the event of undervoltage in the vehicle

A method providing assistance during the parking maneuver of a vehicle into a parking space situated laterally to the vehicle to be parked, an erroneous length of the parking space being detected with the aid of a sensor system of the vehicle while the vehicle drives past the parking space on a curved trajectory. To determine the actual length of the parking space, a trajectory of the vehicle differing from a straight trajectory of the vehicle is additionally detected while driving past the parking space, for example, on the basis of the steering angle of the vehicle, and a correction value for the detected length of the parking space is ascertained therefrom. The actual length of the parking space is determined with a high degree of accuracy without the need for other measured values to be detected, for example, the orientation of parked vehicles or the depth of the parking space.

Method for providing assistance during a parking maneuver of a vehicle

A method for checking a microprocessor for correct operation, the microprocessor having a plurality of gates, each having a plurality of transistors, in which during the intended running of a computer program on the microprocessor a self-test is cyclically executed, and as part of the self-test, gates in the microprocessor are checked for correct operation. In order to check the microprocessor for correct operation in such a way that the functional check is able to detect at an early stage such errors which occur only during the intended operation of the microprocessor, and to the extent possible not to make use of models of the open-loop or closed-loop control algorithms, at least those gates of the microprocessor whose state has an impact on the intended running of the computer program on the microprocessor are checked during one run of the self-test.
