An illumination assembly for a vehicle is provided herein. The illumination assembly includes one or more decorative elements each having a substrate and a film attached thereto. A light source is configured to emit an excitation light. The light source is disposed within a tail-light assembly and the excitation light exits the tail-light assembly through a light transmissive portion towards the decorative element. A first photoluminescent structure is disposed within the decorative element and is configured to convert the excitation light emitted from the light source into a converted light of a different wavelength.

Illumination assembly

A vehicle is provided that includes a pickup box defining a storage area therein with at least one cleat assembly extending into the storage area. The cleat assembly includes a base, a tie-down cleat coupled to the base, and a lock assembly. The lock assembly is configured to removably couple the tie-down cleat to the base. The lock assembly includes a translucent polymer and a first phosphor material and a key configured to operate the lock assembly. The key includes a polymeric material mixed with a second phosphor material.

A running board of a vehicle is provided herein. The running board includes a step pad and a photoluminescent structure coupled to the step pad. The photoluminescent structure is configured to luminesce in response to excitation light provided by an external light assembly and the photoluminescent structure continues to luminesce for a period of time after the excitation light ceases to be provided.

A lightweight integral corrosion-resistant front-end structure ('front-end structure') includes a one-piece composite structure, a metal insert, and a series of washers. The one-piece composite structure is formed from a polymer-composite with a washer fluid reservoir, a tray, and/or a wheel housing. The metal insert is coated with the one-piece composite structure and isolated from corrosive substances. The metal insert is attached to a radiator support member and/or a hood pivot member. The washers offset the metal insert from the radiator support member and/or hood pivot member so as to eliminate a galvanic potential. The washers are attached to the metal insert by the one-piece composite structure.

A multi-functional radiator support assembly is provided for a motor vehicle. The multi-functional radiator support assembly includes a radiator support for operative attachment to forward end of the motor vehicle. The radiator support is made of magnesium or a magnesium alloy material.

A method is provided for coating a radiator support assembly for a motor vehicle including the steps of providing magnesium components for the radiator support assembly and coating the magnesium components. The method also includes the steps of assembling the magnesium components into the radiator support assembly and painting the radiator support assembly.

A multi-functional radiator support assembly is provided for a motor vehicle. The multi-functional radiator support assembly includes a radiator support being made of a first metal material for operative attachment to forward end of the motor vehicle. The first metal material is a die cast metal material. The multi-functional radiator assembly also includes at least one spacer being made of a second metal material different from the first metal material for being disposed between the radiator support and either one of a body and frame of the motor vehicle to resist galvanic corrosion of the radiator support.

A lamp can and radiator support assembly is provided for a motor vehicle. The lamp can and radiator support assembly includes a radiator support for operative attachment to forward end of the motor vehicle. The lamp can and radiator support assembly also includes a pair of lamp cans attached to the radiator support. The lamp can and radiator support assembly further includes at least one crossbar interconnecting the lamp cans and attached to the radiator support for adjusting the lamp cans relative to a body of the motor vehicle.
