The device according to the invention is used for a cardiopulmonary massaging and/or resuscitation of a patient and is provided with a massage stamp () which can be reversibly driven by a drive device in an actuation direction () and which has a pressure surface () that can be positioned at a contact region on the chest () of a patient (). In order to ensure that the chest compressions are interrupted upon reaching a specified compression force, the massage stamp () has a stamp upper part () and a stamp lower part () which is operatively connected to the stamp upper part (). The stamp upper part () and the stamp lower part () can be adjusted relative to each other in the actuation direction () at least between a first position which defines a working length (L) and a second position in which an effective length () of the massage stamp () is shortened compared to the working length (L). In the first position, the stamp upper part () is locked with the stamp lower part () by means of a releasable locking mechanism () and the locking mechanism () is released upon reaching or exceeding a specified compression force transmitted by the massage stamp ().

Appliance for cardiopulmonary massage and/or resuscitation

The apparatus of the invention is used for cardiopulmonary massaging and/or resuscitation of a patient and includes a massaging device () which can be reversibly driven in an actuating direction () by a drive unit () and which has a pressure surface () that can be placed in a target contact zone () on the rib cage () of a patient (). In order to easily and reliably prevent the pressure surface of the massaging device to deviate from a target pressure point (), the plunger () can be secured to the rib cage () of the patient () in the target contact zone () and is mounted in such a way as to be freely movable in a plane running transversely to the actuating direction () at least during an unloaded state between two massaging strokes.

Apparatus for cardiopulmonary massaging and/or resuscitation

An apparatus for reanimation of a patient that includes a plunger driven by a drive to perform a compressive massage on the patient's body, a position measuring device that measures the respective position of the plunger during its compressive massaging motion, and a holding device for the drive and the plunger.
