A drive system including a guide rail assembly fixed to a roof module and including a control mechanism movable in the guide rail assembly and operatively connected to the roof part in order to move the moveable roof part between a closed position, a ventilation position, and an open position. The control mechanism has a drive slide connected to a drive transmission section. A tilting claw is provided on the drive slide, and a wall section of the guide rail assembly is provided with at least one latching profiled section positioned in the region of the guide rail assembly and facing the drive slide. The drive slide is positioned in the guide rail assembly region in the open position of the moveable roof part, and interacts with the tilting claw in a form-fitting manner when the drive slide is tilted.

A system for a multi-directional roof cover system includes a vehicle comprising an opening in the top of the vehicle and a cover movably coupled to selectively cover the opening. The cover has a first end proximate a first end of the vehicle, a second end proximate a second end of the vehicle, lateral edges connecting the first end and the second end, and linkages coupling the lateral edges to the vehicle. The cover is actuatable, based on one or more conditions, between a first position in which the cover is closed and covers the opening, a second position in which the cover is open and the first end of the cover is raised relative to the second end of the cover, and a third position in which the cover is open and the second end of the cover is raised relative to the first end of the cover.

A sliding roof system including a support frame, a front movable roof part and a rear roof part, wherein the front roof part is shiftable between a closed position, an obliquely erected ventilation position and an open position in which the front roof part is positioned over the rear roof part. The front guide lever has a lower guide joint which is guided in a guide path, which is curved downwards on the front side, of the guide rail arrangement in such a manner that, in the ventilation position of the roof part, the guide slide is held in the guide path in a self-locking manner with respect to shifting of the control slide.

A drive system including a guide rail arrangement fixed to a roof module, a drive slide, a front-side lifting arrangement, a rear-side extension mechanism, and a profiled support part. The lifting arrangement and the extension mechanism interact with the profiled support part such that the profiled support part is guided in a force-controlled manner between a closed, ventilating and open positions of the roof part. The coupling device end region remote from the extension mechanism has a coupling slide which is guided in the guide rail arrangement and which comprises a blocking element that can be moved in the vertical direction. A stationary latch recess is provided in the guide rail arrangement, and the drive slide has a receiving area. Depending on the position of the drive slide, the blocking element is moved into the latch recess or into the receiving area in a force-controlled manner by mechanical control contours.

Sliding roof system for an automotive vehicle with a movable roof part, a fixed in location roof portion and an adjustment mechanism positioned within a guide track arrangement in order to displace the roof part between a closed position, a ventilation position and an open position below the roof portion. The adjustment mechanism includes a drive carriage driven by a drive system and a support profile fixedly connected to the roof part and operatively connected to the drive carriage by a slotted guide mechanism. The tilt and guide mechanism includes on both sides of the roof part in each case a front tilt lever and a rear tilt lever pivotably connected to the roof part by means of a pivot point and operatively connected to a control carriage movable in a guide rail arrangement. The roof part pivot points of the front and of the rear tilt lever are interconnected by an integral, dimensionally stable fastening profile extending along a side edge of the roof part and fastened on the side edge thereof.

A roof system for a motor vehicle with a roof opening and a movable roof part for opening up and closing the roof opening, the roof part being assigned a web guide on opposite sides, the web guide permitting a longitudinal displacement and a vertical shifting of the roof part. Each web guide is assigned a respective slider unit which has a carrier structure which is tiltable in the manner of a rocker and on both sides of a rocker axis, as seen in the longitudinal direction, has sliding sections which receive the web guide. A drive device of this type, the roof module comprising two movable roof parts, with longitudinally extended tension/compression means for transmitting drive to the roof parts which are driveable by a common drive motor via two output pinions, is known. The output pinions are oriented coaxially with respect to each other, and the output pinions are assigned a change-over device which sets the drive motor into operative connection alternatively with the one or the other output pinion.

The guiding mechanism includes a resilient unit in order to support the movement of the curved wind deflection member into the operating position thereof. The guiding mechanism also has a linear force guide having a curved guiding path, along which the curved wind deflection member is displaced in the longitudinal and vertical direction relative to the roof portion.
