A cast part includes a metallic functional region. The functional region extends in a first direction from a first side to a second side of the cast part. The cast part has a surrounding region at least partially surrounding the functional region. The functional region is shaped by a friction-based process. Further disclosed is a piece of equipment, such as an electrical machine which includes a further component and a device for securing the further component against twisting. The device has a connection between the functional region of the cast part and the further component.

The aim of the invention is to reduce the logistical and assembly expenses during the connection of electrical machines. To this end, a connection device is provided with a base body () that can be mounted in a terminal box socket () of the electrical machine. A plurality of contacts () of the electrical machine can be plugged or clipped into said base body (). Outer contacts can be connected to the base body () by means of connection elements (). Preferably, the connection elements () are collected together by a plug housing base body () in such a way that a plug-in system is provided by means of the socket base body ().

An electric machine includes a housing for accommodating a rotatably supported rotor and a stationary stator, and a cooling device for cooling heat-generating components of the rotor and the stator. The cooling device includes a closed-flow system having an evaporator disposed in the housing, a condenser disposed outside the housing at a geodetically higher location, and a closed tube assembly, which connects the condenser and the evaporator, for circulating a coolant using a thermosiphon effect as a result of a difference in density between vapor and liquid portions of the coolant. The closed-flow system contains a liquid-vapor mixture of the coolant in a saturated state and includes a first tube for conducting coolant to the evaporator and a second tube for conducting coolant away from the evaporator. The first tube has hereby a cross section which is smaller than a cross section of the second tube.
