The invention relates to a machining tool () for processing a bore in a workpiece, in particular for simultaneous processing of a plurality of bores distanced from one another by a predefined distance, said machining tool having a cutting body () extending in the direction of a tool longitudinal axis () and having at least one cutting element () arranged circumferentially, and a guide body (), which adjoins the cutting body () in the direction of the tool longitudinal axis (), is fastened to the cutting body () and has at least one circumferentially arranged guide element (). In order to achieve as highly accurate an alignment of the reamer as possible and therefore as high a drilled hole quality as possible during the precision machining of a drilled hole, the cutting edges of the reamer are divided into two cutting groups, the cutting edges of which are spaced apart with respect to one another in each case by an axial spacing from one another. Here, the axial spacing is selected in such a way that, at a predefined first, slower feed speed, merely the cutting edges of the first cutting edge group are in engagement with the workpiece and, at a higher, predefined second feed speed, all cutting edges are in engagement with the workpiece.

Cutting tool, in particular a boring bar, and method for machining a number of holes

The invention relates to a tool head for a rotary tool. The tool head extends along, and rotates about, a rotational axis in a rotational direction during operation. The tool head is designed for replaceable fastening on a carrier shank of the rotary tool and comprises on the back thereof a coupling surface comprising a first serration having a plurality of ribs running parallel to one another and grooves running parallel to one another. The first serration comprises at least two part-serrations oriented toward one another in the rotational direction at an angle. Each part-serration having a plurality of ribs and grooves running parallel, for centering the tool head relative to the carrier shank. The invention furthermore relates to a rotary tool having such a tool head.

A cutting tool () is specified with a cutting region () that comprises a substrate () onto which a coating () is applied, which coating () is subsequently processed, whereby a sharp cutting edge () is formed. Furthermore, a corresponding method for the manufacture of the cutting tool () is specified. By means of the sharpening of the cutting edge () after the coating rather than before, a particularly sharp cutting edge () is formed, whereby the precision of the cutting tool () as well as its service life is improved.

The guiding elements () are kept at a distance from the axis of rotation (R) equivalent to a guide radius (r). The main body () is divided into a functional region () and an eccentric region (), wherein the cutting elements (A) and the guiding elements () are arranged such that they are distributed around the main body () over an angular range (a) of less than 180&#xb0;. Furthermore, the circumferential side () of the main body () can be passed eccentrically through a respective bore (A) of which the unworked tube radius (r) is less than the guide radius (r).
