A faucet for dispensing beverages includes a valve element that is selectively moved from its seated position to its unseated position by manual linear movement of a handle in a first direction from a retracted position toward an extended position. Movement of the handle in the first direction induces movement of the valve element in the first direction. A shaft projects through the handle and an outer end of the shaft provides a reaction structure or button that is engaged by a thumb of a user during movement of the handle from its retracted position toward its extended position. When in its extended position, the handle can be rotated to a lock-open position where interference between the handle and the faucet body prevents movement of the handle from its extended position to its retracted position whereby the faucet is maintained in an opened condition for continuous dispensing of liquid.

Liquid dispensing faucet with pull-to-open valve element

A faucet for dispensing liquid with pulp or other suspended solids includes a valve chamber and a valve seat is located in the valve chamber. A valve element for controlling flow of liquid through the valve chamber from the inlet of the body to the outlet of the body includes a valve stem. The valve stem includes (i) a first portion that is closely slidably received in the outlet portion of the liquid flow passage adjacent the valve seat between the valve seat and the outlet; (ii) a second portion connected to the first portion and extending outwardly through the stem aperture of the bonnet such that an outer end of the second portion is located external to the valve chamber; and (iii) a seal located between the first portion and the second portion of the stem. The first portion of the stem cleans the valve seat when the stem moves from the second stem position to the first stem position.

A liquid dispensing faucet includes first and second inlet flow passages that are isolated from each other, and first and second valve chambers respectively in fluid communication with the first and second inlet flow passages. First and second valve elements are located respectively in the first and second valve chambers and respectively control flow of liquid from the first and second inlet passages through the first and second valve chambers. First and second outlet passages are respectively in fluid communication with the first and second valve chambers for respectively receiving and dispensing liquid from the first and second valve chambers. A handle is operatively connected to both the first and second valve elements for selectively opening the first and second valve elements to allow flow of liquid through the first and second valve chambers when the handle is moved from a first position to a second position.

Single handle, dual-flow faucet

A faucet handle includes a safety lock. The safety lock includes a latch that is manually movable between an engaged position and a disengaged position. The latch is adapted to engage an associated catch when the latch is in its engaged position. The safety lock also includes a primary lock element that moves between a locked position and an unlocked position. The primary lock element prevents movement of the latch from its engaged position to its disengaged position when the primary lock element is in its locked position. The primary lock element allows movement of the latch from its engaged position to its disengaged position when the primary lock element is in its unlocked position. A faucet including the handle requires three steps to dispense liquid: (i) movement of the primary lock to its unlocked position; (ii) movement of the latch to its disengaged position; and (iii) movement of the handle to its liquid dispensing position.

A cup dispenser includes a body defining a storage region adapted for receiving for an associated stack of cup-shaped articles. The body includes an open end that provides access to the storage region. Multiple fingers are connected to the body for restricting the open end of the body. An adjustment ring is connected to the body and is movable relative to the body. Movement of the adjustment ring relative to the body alters a position of each of the fingers relative to the body. The adjustment ring includes a plurality of adjustment slots and the fingers each include an adjustment stud located in one of the adjustment slots. When the adjustment ring is rotated, the adjustment slots act as cams and the adjustment studs act as cam followers such that the fingers are simultaneously and uniformly adjusted in terms of their radial position relative to the body wall.

A faucet for controlling the dispensing of liquids includes a valve body having a valve chamber with an inlet and an outlet. A valve element is located in the valve chamber and is movable from a first position for blocking flow between the inlet and outlet to a second position for permitting flow between the inlet and the outlet. An operating stem has an inner end operatively connected to the valve element and an outer end located external to the body. A bonnet is included, and an insert member is rotatably connected to the bonnet and defines an opening through which the stem extends. The bonnet and insert member are secured to the body and enclose the valve element in the valve chamber. The insert is located such that no portion of the insert member is clamped between the bonnet and the body.

A faucet for controlling the dispensing of liquids including a valve element movable from a first position for blocking flow between an inlet and outlet to a second position for permitting flow between the inlet and the outlet. An insert member is rotatably connected to a bonnet and defines an opening through which a stem extends. The insert member is located with no portion being clamped between the bonnet and a valve body. An actuator handle assembly includes a lever pivotally connected to an end of the stem and a cam actuator connected to the lever. The cam actuator moves between an engaged position in which movement of the lever is effective to move the valve element from its first position to its second position and a disengaged position in which movement of the lever is ineffective to move the valve element from its first position to its second position.

A valve includes a body; a liquid flow passage defined in the body and including a liquid inlet and a liquid outlet; a vent passage defined in the body and including an air inlet and an air outlet; a valve seat defined in the liquid flow passage; a liquid seal located adjacent the valve seat; a stem connected to the liquid seal and extending in the liquid flow passage away from the liquid seal through an aperture defined in the body. The stem includes a distal end located external to the body. The stem is movable to and from a first position where the liquid seal is mated with the valve seat and a second position where the liquid seal is unseated from the valve seat. An actuator is connected to the distal end of the stem. The actuator is selectively movable to move the stem from the first position to the second position. A check-valve is adapted to block flow of liquid from the air outlet to the air inlet in the vent passage, and to allow flow of air from the air inlet to the air outlet in said vent passage. The valve optionally further includes a surge control device and/or a keeper for the check-valve seal.

Vented valve

A modular air gap device adapted for selective insertion into an associated faucet body and comprises a base, an inlet nipple defining an inlet passage and an outlet nipple defining an outlet passage. The inlet and outlet nipples project outwardly from the base in a first direction. An gap structure is connected to the base and projects outwardly therefrom in a second direction opposite the inlet and outlet nipples. The base and air gap structure are adapted for receipt within an air gap chamber of a faucet body. The air gap structure defines a flow path having a first end in direct fluid communication with the inlet passage of the inlet nipple and a second end spaced from the outlet passage of the outlet nipple so that an air gap is defined between the second end of the flow path and the outlet passage. A faucet including the air gap device defines a vent for venting the air gap chamber.

A dispenser for cup-shaped articles comprises a body defining a storage region for receiving an associated stack of cups or other cup-shaped articles. The body comprises an open end that communicates with the storage region. A resilient diaphragm restricts the open end of the body. A clamp member is releasably secured adjacent the open end of the body and retains the diaphragm relative to the open end of the body. A mounting flange projects outwardly away from the body. The clamp member and mounting flange comprise mating structures that releasably secure said clamp member to the mounting flange.
