A box cover or container is provided which includes a first cellulosic board having dorsal and ventral surfaces, the board including a main panel and four flanking panels, one on each side of the main panel standing in orthogonal relationship to one another thereby forming a tray suitable as a cover or container portion of the box. A second board is placed, preferably in adhesive arrangement, against the ventral surface of the first cellulosic board, the second board having a thickness greater than that of the first cellulosic board. A colored pattern is ordinarily printed on the dorsal surface for decorative purposes. A process and blank to assemble the box cover or container is described. In the process, the number of steps are less than half those required for manufacture of a traditional gift or set box.

Gift or set box

A lipstick article is provided which houses a lipstick with a water content of from 0.5 to 30% by weight. The lipstick is packaged in a casing including a base, an elongated cylindrical inner body received in the base and containing the lipstick, a device for elevating-retracting the lipstick from within the inner body, a hollow elongated cap fitting over the inner body, and a hollow elongated plug sleeve inserted within the cap and formed of a material more flexible than a material forming the cap, the plug sleeve sealingly contacting an outer wall of the inner body to prevent evaporation of water from the lipstick.

Lipstick article

A dual container is provided for delivering two composition streams held in separate compartment thereof. Each of the compartments is flexible walled and received in a relatively rigid receptacle having a left and right wall positioned on opposite sides of the receptacle. Within each of the latter walls are a respective window through which a button protrudes that when squeezed compresses the respective compartments forcing a composition to exit therefrom.

Dual tube dispenser

A Saturn-shaped container is provided which includes a receptacle forming a lower portion of the container, a lid forming an upper portion of the container, a ring member surrounding the receptacle and supporting the lid, and a seal member positioned between receptacle and lid so as to define a first and second compartment within the container. Advantageously, the lid is transparent and may serve as a magnifying means for viewing contents within the container.

Closure for dispensing container

A container closure is provided with a body defining a dispensing orifice and a cover disposed on the body for being pivoted between a closed position occluding the orifice and an open position spaced away from the orifice. A hinge connects the cover to the body. The body has a generally smooth applicator surface around the dispensing orifice. The cover has an inwardly projecting sealing protrusion for entering at least partially into the dispensing orifice and sealingly engaging the body at the periphery of the dispensing orifice when the cover is in the closed position. The body and the cover together cooperate to define latching means, such as (1) an engagement between the protrusion and a portion of the body around at least part of the periphery of the orifice or (2) engaging ribs on the body and cover for releasably holding the cover in the closed position.

A spray head is disclosed having an aligned fluid conduit leading respectively to a source of pressurized water and a spray outlet. A rotatable, vertically movable valve element lies in a suitable bore in the spray head between the conduits. The valve has a horizontal conduit therethrough which merges with a vertical conduit adapted to convey liquid from a container to which the spray head is connected. A frangible locking collar lies between the head of the valve and the upper surface of the spray head holding the valve from either rotational or vertical movement towards the container. Breaking and removal of the locking collar allows for 90.degree. rotation of the valve to unseat inwardly from flange carried by the valve body from inwardly projecting retaining flanges carried by the spray head body thereby allowing for downward movement of the valve to puncture a seal over the container holding the liquid. This downward movement also brings the conduit in the valve into the same plane as the two conduits in the spray head. Rotation of the valve 90.degree. back to its original orientation aligns and interconnects all the conduits making the system ready for use upon activation of the source of pressurized water.

Spray apparatus

A spray head is disclosed having an aligned fluid conduit leading respectively to a source of pressurized water and a spray outlet. A rotatable, vertically movable valve element lies in a suitable bore in the spray head between the conduits. The valve has a horizontal conduit therethrough which merges with a vertical conduit adapted to convey liquid from a container to which the spray head is connected. A frangible locking collar lies between the head of the valve and the upper surface of the spray head holding the valve from either rotational or vertical movement towards the container. Breaking and removal of the locking collar allows for 90.degree. rotation of the valve to unseat inwardly from a flange carried by the valve body from inwardly projecting retaining flanges carried by the spray head body thereby allowing for downward movement of the valve to puncture a seal over the container holding the liquid. This downward movement also brings the conduit in the valve into the same plane as the two conduits in the spray head. Rotation of the valve 90.degree. back to its original orientation aligns and interconnects all the conduits making the system ready for use upon activation of the source of pressurized water.
