A stator assembly for an axial-flow fan motor for cooling electronic components consisting of a base, a stator, and insulating pins for connecting the base to the stator. The stator consists of a core covered by an insulating coating and a winding formed thereon from magnet wire. The stator also includes mounting holes formed in the core. The winding is electrically connected to the base through free ends of the magnet wire forming the winding. Each insulating pin has a first conductive end which is mounted to the base and a second non-conductive end which is received in one of the mounting holes on the stator. In the preferred embodiment, the base consists of a printed circuit board which includes circuitry for operating the motor within which the stator assembly is mounted. The method of securing the stator to the base is also disclosed.

Stator mounting method and apparatus for a motor

A multiple coil, multiple armature solenoid is disclosed. The solenoid has; multiple armatures slidably disposed on a common slip shaft, with separate coils disposed about the corresponding armatures. The conductor coils, through magnetic induction, displace the armatures through respective linear strokes along the slip shaft. By varying the stroke length of the various armatures, it is possible to use an armature that travels through a short stroke length to generate kinetic energy that is transferred through the slip shaft to actuate an armature that must travel through a longer stroke length. In this manner, the problem of a high breakaway force associated with a long stroke armature is resolved.

Multiple coil, multiple armature solenoid

A dual fuel system is disclosed which, when retrofitted to a standard gasoline engine of an automobile, permits the automobile to run on one of two fuels. The dual fuel system comprises two fuel tanks; two carburetors, each connected to a fuel tank and powered by a separate fuel pump; a venturi housing communicating with the carburetors and forming two venturi throats, each throat in registry with an outlet of a carburetor; an adapter forming a single passage therethrough and including an end adapted to be mounted on an intake manifold such that the passage is in registry with an intake opening in the intake manifold; a valve, located in between the venturi housing and the adapter means, for alternately opening and closing a pathway from a preselected venturi throat to the single passage of the adapter so that only one venturi throat communicates with the single passage at a time; a single throttle linkage connected to the throttles of the carburetors such that the throttles of the carburetors operate in unison; a valve linkage which allows remote control of the valve; and a slave linkage extending between the valve linkage and a distributor which is driven by the valve linkage and automatically adjusts the distributor to a predetermined setting by advancing or retarding the timing. The venturi housing may further include an exhaust gas heated helical duct for preheating the air-fuel mixture passing therethrough.

Dual fuel system

An exercising device is disclosed for building and toning body muscles. The device has two substantially U-shaped frame members between which are looped bands of an elastometric material. Grips are provided between the ends of the frame for grasping by the hands of the user. The grips have separable portions to permit the addition or removal of the bands to thereby vary the resistance resulting from the tension of the elastometric material. Each band is an elongated tubular member having opened ends which are joined to form a loop. Each grip is made of three aligned portions that are detachably threaded together. The center portion has threadable opposite end portions that are detachably threadably connected to the other two sections of the grip. A portion of a rod-shaped element is positioned in each open end of the tubular member and an adhesive is applied between the tubular member and the rod-shaped element to secure the ends together.
