The present invention concerns an immunological test for determining NT-proBNP comprising at least two antibodies to NT-proBNP, wherein at least one of the antibodies to NT-proBNP is a monoclonal antibody. The epitopes recognized by the antibodies can slightly overlap.

Analytical sandwich test for determining NT-proBNP

The present invention relates to a method of measuring a vitamin D metabolite in a sample, the method comprising the steps of (a) treating said sample with a vitamin D metabolite releasing reagent under conditions appropriate to release a vitamin D metabolite from vitamin D-binding protein and not to cause protein precipitation, (b) subjecting the treated sample obtained in step (a) to a chromatographic separation, and (c) measuring a vitamin D metabolite during or after said chromatographic separation. The present invention also relates to methods for determining the vitamin D status of a subject, for use in the diagnosis of disease, and to agents and kits for use in performing the methods of the invention.

Method of detecting a subfraction of proBNP

The present invention concerns an immunological test for determining NT-proBNP comprising at least two antibodies to NT-proBNP, wherein at least one of the antibodies to NT-proBNP is a monoclonal antibody. One of these antibodies is directed at least against parts of the epitope of NT-proBNP comprising the amino acids 38 to 50. In addition, one of these antibodies is directed at least against parts of the epitope of NT-proBNP comprising the amino acids 1 to 37 or 43 to 76. The epitope recognized by the antibodies can slightly overlap.

Method of detecting native proBNP

The invention concerns monoclonal antibodies against the epitope YPYDVPDYA (SEQ ID NO: 1) which is derived from the haemagglutinin of the human influenza virus and are suitable for the detection and isolation of native haemagglutinin of the human influenza virus, of modified haemagglutinin or of haemagglutinin fusion proteins and have an affinity of &#x3e;10M, in particular of 10to 10M.

For the determination of vitamin B12 a sample solution is incubated with at least two receptors R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 of which R.sub.1 mediates the binding to the solid phase and R.sub.2 is labelled, whereby a receptor is used as one of the receptors R.sub.1 or R.sub.2 which contains a monoclonal antibody capable of specific binding to B12 that has an affinity constant of at least 5.times.10.sup.9 l/mol and a receptor is used as the other receptor R.sub.1 or R.sub.2 which contains B12 or an analogue thereof, the two phases are separated and the label is measured in one of the two phases.

In order to detect analytes with an immunological method by incubation with receptors and analysis of the complexes formed, a mixture of at least two monoclonal antibodies which are specifically bindable to the analyte and whose cross-reactivities are different are used for at least one of the receptors.
