An Asset Health Management system monitors and analyzes the health of a component of an asset. A sensor network, with one or more sensors operably coupled to an asset component, collects sensor data associated with operating characteristics of the asset component. A processing node (a System Health Node) includes one or more modules, i.e., software functions, and one or more configuration files. The processing node processes the sensor data with the one or more modules according to the one or more configuration files and determines health information corresponding to the asset component. The one or more modules receive and transmit input and output data, respectively, via data streams that organize the input and output data, e.g., according to time stamps and that may be cached. The health information may be displayed on user interfaces and/or may be transmitted over an information network to external systems.

Systems and methods for determining health or performance of an asset

An asset management system includes a controller area network bus and a data acquisition module connected to the controller area network bus. The data acquisition module has a plurality of analog input channels. One or more sensor systems are connected to the input channels with the input channels receiving analog signals from the sensor systems. The data acquisition module passively conditions the received analog signals prior to digital conversion.

Method and apparatus for data acquisition in an asset health management system

A method, computer readable medium and system for detecting a sensor fault includes identifying one or more of a plurality of tools to use with at least one of a plurality of data acquisition systems based on data obtained from and at least one characteristic of the at least one of the data acquisition systems. The identified one or more tools are utilized on the obtained data to determine at least one confidence rating. An operational status for the at least one of the data acquisition systems is determined and provided based on at least the one determined confidence rating.

A method and system for displaying asset health information includes determining a status of at least one asset in a monitored system based on operational information obtained about the at least one asset. The obtained operational information about the at least one asset is compared against other operational information obtained about the monitored system. A review of the determined status of the at least one asset is conducted based on the comparison. At least one of textual information and numeric information is displayed based on the conducted review of the determined status of the at least one asset. Additionally, at least one of three or more indicator lights is displayed based on the conducted review of the determined status of the at least one asset.

A method, computer readable medium, and system for optimizing utilization of one or more assets includes obtaining at least one of operational data and condition data for one or more elements of at least one of the assets. At least one of historical maintenance data and life-cycle data for the one or more elements of the at least one of the assets is retrieved. One or more diagnostics on the one or more elements of the at least one of the assets is conducted based on the obtained at least one of the operational data and the condition data. One or more prognostics on the one or more elements of the at least one of the assets is conducted based on the at least one of the obtained operational data and condition data and on the retrieved at least one of the historical maintenance data and the life-cycle data. One or more optimization instructions for the at least one asset are determined based on the conducted diagnostics and prognostics and the determined one or more optimization instructions are displayed.
