A method for a production of a heat exchanger for an inline measuring device includes the steps of: producing first opening provided for the connection of the heat exchanger to a temperature control piping system in a first sheet part serving for the production of one of the heat exchanger sheets; laying the first sheet part on a second sheet part serving likewise for the production of one of the heat exchanger sheets; producing an edge connection seam and inner connection locations by welding of the two superimposed sheet parts; introducing fluid through a first opening into a chamber remaining between the two sheets; superimposing a static pressure on the fluid in the chamber which exceeds a static pressure of a surrounding atmosphere to such a degree that an expansion of the chamber is initiated; and plastically deforming material of the thinner of the two sheet parts by expanding the chamber by means of the fluid with superimposed pressure.

Method for a production of a heat exchanger for an inline measuring device

The measuring transducer includes: a measuring tube vibrating, at least at times, and serving for conveying medium to be measured; a counteroscillator, which is affixed to the measuring tube on an inlet-side, to form a first coupling zone, and to the measuring tube on an outlet-side, to form a second coupling zone; at least one oscillation exciter for driving at least the measuring tube; as well as at least one oscillation sensor for registering oscillations at least of the measuring tube. During operation, the measuring tube executes, at least at times and/or at least in part, bending oscillations about an imaginary bending oscillation axis, which imaginarily connects the two coupling zones with one another. The oscillation sensor includes a coil, especially a coil affixed to the counteroscillator, as well as, magnetically coupled with the coil, a permanent magnet, which is placed within a magnet cup composed at least partially of magnetically conductive material and which is held to a cup base, especially a cup base secured to the measuring tube. Additionally, it is provided in the measuring transducer of the invention that a cup wall of the magnet cup, especially an essentially circular-cylindrical and/or tubular, cup wall, especially a cup wall extending essentially in the direction of the counteroscillator, has at least one slit, especially a slit extending at least sectionally in the direction of oscillations of the measuring tube relative to the counteroscillator.

Measuring transducer of vibration-type

The measuring transducer includes: a measuring tube vibrating, at least at times, during operation and serving for conveying a medium, wherein the measuring tube communicates with a pipeline via an inlet tube piece at an inlet end and an outlet tube piece at an outlet end; a counteroscillator, which is affixed to the measuring tube on the inlet end to form a first coupling zone and affixed to the measuring tube on the outlet end to form a second coupling zone; a sensor arrangement secured, at least in part, to the counteroscillator for registering oscillations at least of the measuring tube; an exciter mechanism secured, at least in part, to the counteroscillator for driving at least the measuring tube; a transducer housing affixed to the inlet tube piece and the outlet tube piece; and connection lines, especially connection lines for the exciter mechanism and/or for the sensor arrangement, of which connection lines at least one is secured at least sectionally along the counteroscillator and secured at least pointwise thereto, as well as to the transducer housing. The connection lines are routed essentially symmetrically with respect to a principal axis of inertia of the inner part formed by means of measuring tube and counteroscillator, especially mirror-symmetrically with respect to at least one principal axis of inertia of the counteroscillator, whereby an essentially symmetrical damping force per unit length can be assured in the measuring transducer.

Vibration-type measuring transducer having connecting lines secured pointwise to the transducer housing

A measuring transducer includes: A measuring tube vibrating, at least at times, during operation and serving for conveying a medium, wherein the measuring tube communicates with a pipeline via an inlet tube piece at an inlet end and an outlet tube piece at an outlet end; a counteroscillator, which is affixed to the measuring tube on the inlet end to form a first coupling zone and affixed to the measuring tube on the outlet end to form a second coupling zone; and a transducer housing affixed to the inlet tube piece and the outlet tube piece. An exciter mechanism, for driving at least the measuring tube, and a sensor arrangement, for registering oscillations at least of the measuring tube, are, in each case, secured, at least in part, to the counteroscillator. Additionally, on the inlet side, an cantilever is so coupled in the region of the coupling zone with the inlet tube piece and the measuring tube, that the center of mass of the cantilever lies in the region of the inlet tube piece, and, on the outlet side, an cantilever is so coupled in the region of the coupling zone with the outlet tube piece and the measuring tube, that the center of mass of the cantilever lies in the region of the outlet tube piece. Furthermore, the measuring transducer includes connection lines, especially connection lines for the exciter mechanism and/or for the sensor arrangement, with at least one of the connection lines being secured to at least one of the two cantilevers.

Measuring transducer of the vibration-type with two cantilevers

A measuring transducer includes: a measuring tube vibrating at least at times and serving for conveying medium to be measured; a counteroscillator, which is affixed to the measuring tube on an inlet-side, to form a first coupling zone, and to the measuring tube on an outlet-side, to form a second coupling zone; an exciter mechanism for driving at least the measuring tube; as well as a sensor arrangement for registering oscillations at least of the measuring tube. During operation, the measuring tube executes, at least at times and/or at least in part, bending oscillations about an imaginary bending oscillation axis, which imaginarily connects the two coupling zones with one another. Additionally, at least a first spring element and a second spring element are included, with each of the at least two spring elements being affixed to the measuring tube and the counteroscillator spaced both from each of the two coupling zones as well as also from the exciter mechanism.

A measuring transducer includes: a measuring tube vibrating, at least at times, during operation and serving for conveying a medium, wherein the measuring tube communicates with a pipeline via an inlet tube piece on an inlet side and an outlet tube piece on an outlet side; a counteroscillator, which is affixed to the measuring tube on the inlet and outlet sides to form coupling zones; an cantilever coupled with the measuring tube on the inlet side; an cantilever coupled with the measuring tube on the outlet side; a sensor arrangement secured, at least in part, to the counteroscillator for registering oscillations at least of the measuring tube; an exciter mechanism secured, at least in part, to the counteroscillator for driving at least the measuring tube; a transducer housing affixed to the inlet tube piece and to the outlet tube piece; as well as connection lines, of which at least one is secured at least pointwise to the transducer housing and at least pointwise to an inner part of the measuring transducer formed by means of measuring tube, counteroscillator and the two cantilevers. A section at least of the one connection line extends freely suspended between two mutually spaced tie-down points. One of the tie-down points is located on the inner part of the measuring transducer and the other on the transducer housing. The two tie-down points are so placed that a relative distance therebetween remains essentially unchanged, even when the measuring tube is vibrating.

An inline measuring device comprising a measurement pickup of vibration-type and measuring device electronics electrically coupled with the measurement pickup. The measurement pickup includes at least one, essentially straight measuring tube, an exciter mechanism acting on the measuring tube for causing the at least one measuring tube to vibrate, during operation, with torsional oscillations about a torsional oscillation axis, and a sensor arrangement for registering vibrations of the at least one measuring tube and delivering at least one oscillation measurement signal representing oscillations of the measuring tube. The measuring device electronics delivers, at least at times, an exciter signal driving the exciter mechanism and generates, by means of at least one of: the at least one oscillation measurement signal and the exciter signal, at least one measured value, which represents at least one physical, measured variable of the medium to be measured.

Method for monitoring an operating condition of a tube wall contacted by a flowing medium and inline measuring device therefore

A vibration meter and a method of measuring a viscosity of a fluid flowing through a pipe are disclosed. The vibration meter comprises meter electronics and a transducer assembly with an electromechanical excitation arrangement and with a flow tube which oscillates in operation. A sensor arrangement produces sensor signals representative of inlet-side and outlet-side deflections of the flow tube. An evaluation circuit derives from said sensor signals and from an excitation current generated by an excitation circuit for the excitation arrangement a viscosity value representative of the viscosity of the fluid.

Vibration meter and method of measuring a viscosity of a fluid

A Coriolis mass flow measuring device includes a vibratory measuring transducer having at least one measuring tube, which has medium flowing through it during operation. In operation, the measuring tube is caused by an exciter arrangement to undergo mechanical oscillations, especially bending oscillations. Additionally, the Coriolis mass flow measuring device includes a sensor arrangement for producing oscillation measurement signals (s, s) representing the inlet-end and outlet-end oscillations of the measuring tube. Measuring device electronics controlling the exciter arrangement produces an exciter current (i) and an intermediate value (X') derived from the oscillation measurement signals (s, s). This intermediate value represents an uncorrected mass flow. Derived from the exciter current and/or from a component of the exciter current (i), an intermediate value (X) is produced, which corresponds to a damping of the oscillations of the measuring tube. This damping is especially a function of an apparent viscosity, and/or a viscosity-density product, of the medium guided in the measuring tube. Furthermore, a correction value (X) is produced for the intermediate value (X&#x2032;) utilizing the intermediate value (X) and a viscosity measurement value (X) determined initially or during operation. The viscosity measurement value (X) corresponds to a viscosity of the medium guided in the measuring tube and/or to a predetermined reference viscosity. On the basis of the intermediate value (X&#x2032;) and the correction value (X), the measuring device electronics then produces an exact mass flow rate measurement value (X).

Coriolis mass measuring device

An inline measuring device includes a vibration-type measurement pickup having at least one measuring tube, which has a medium to be measured flowing through it during operation. The measuring tube is made by means of an exciter arrangement to execute, at least at times and/or at least in part, lateral oscillations and, at least at times and/or at least in part, torsional oscillations about an imaginary measuring tube longitudinal axis. The torsional oscillations alternate with the lateral oscillations or are, at times, superimposed thereon. Also included is a sensor arrangement for producing oscillation measurement signals correspondingly representing oscillations of the measuring tube. Measuring device electronics controlling the exciter arrangement generates, by means of at least one of the oscillation measurement signals and/or by means of the exciter current, at least at times, at least one measured value, which represents the at least one physical quantity to be measured. Additionally, the measuring device electronics also determines a first intermediate value, which corresponds to the lateral current component of the exciter current serving to maintain the lateral oscillations of the measuring tube and/or to a damping of the lateral oscillations of the measuring tube, as well as a second intermediate value, which corresponds to a torsional current component of the exciter current serving to maintain the torsional oscillations of the measuring tube and/or to a damping of the torsional oscillations of the measuring tube. With the goal of producing the measured value at high accuracy, such value is determined also taking into consideration these two intermediate values. The measured value obtained in this way is distinguished especially by high accuracy also in the case of media of two, or more, phases.

In-line measuring device

A Coriolis mass-flow/density meter includes at least one measuring tube through which a two, or more, phase medium during operation. A support means of the Coriolis mass-flow/density meter is fixed to an inlet end and an outlet end of the measuring tube and thus holds the tube such that it can oscillate. During operation, the measuring tube is made to oscillate with mechanical oscillations, especially bending oscillations, by means of an exciter arrangement. Additionally, the Coriolis mass-flow/density meter includes means for producing measurement signals (x, x) representing inlet end and outlet end oscillations of the measuring tube. An evaluation electronics produces an intermediate value (X') derived from the measurement signals (x, x) and representing a provisionally determined mass flow rate. The evaluation electronics also produces a second intermediate value (X) derived from the measurement signals (x, x), especially from a second measured value (X) representing a density of the medium and likewise produced in the evaluation electronics. The second intermediate value (X) represents a measure for an amount of a phase of the medium. Using the intermediate value (X), a correction value (X) for the first intermediate value (X&#x2032;) is determined, with the correction value (X) being selected by means of the intermediate value (X) from a plurality of preset values stored in a table memory. Additionally, the evaluation electronics produces a measured value (X) representing a mass flow rate through use of the intermediate value (X&#x2032;) and the correction value (X).

Coriolis mass flow measuring device

The apparatus includes at least one heat exchanger secured on an inline measuring device. Temperature-control fluid flows through a heat exchanger, at least at times during operation, for the purpose of transporting heat. The apparatus additionally includes securement structure for the, especially releasable, fixing of the heat exchanger externally on the inline measuring device. The heat exchanger has an inner wall especially a trough- or dish-shaped inner wall, contacting the inline measuring device externally at least partially flushly, as well as an outer wall fixed to the inner wall. The outer wall is connected with the inner wall via a connecting seam running along an edge region and sealing against escape of the temperature-control fluid, and via a plurality of, especially point, or ring, shaped, inner connection locations, which are arranged spaced from one another in an inner region at least partially enclosed by the edge connection seam. Between the inner wall and the outer wall is at least one chamber having a plurality of sections communicating with one another and serving to convey the temperature-control fluid. The chamber is connected into a piping system conveying the temperature-control fluid via openings opening into the chamber.
