A vibration damper may include a damper tube and a damper piston disposed in the damper tube so as to be reciprocatingly movable. The damper tube may be connected to a piston rod extending out of the damper tube, and the damper piston may movably separate a first oil-filled damper chamber on a piston rod side from a second oil-filled damper chamber remote from the piston rod. A bottom element at one end of the damper tube seals the end of the damper tube. The bottom element may protrude into the end of the damper tube and thereby reduce oil volume of the second damper chamber.

Vibration damper

A flange for connecting a vibration damper tube to a module tube of a vibration damper may include one or more fluid ducts, by which the module tube is fluidically coupled to the vibration damper tube. The flange may further include a plastic body in which the fluid duct for the fluidic coupling is formed and wherein connection elements are provided that extend between the vibration damper tube and the module tube. The connection elements may form a retaining connection between the vibration damper tube and the module tube. The plastic body may comprise two opposite side walls, and the connection elements may be formed by metal plates arranged on the side walls. The plastic body may also comprise retaining means for the retaining of the plates.

Annular bearing member for supporting a support element that comprises elastic material and that when installed is under pressure and that is in the area of a suspension strut, whereby the bearing member comprises a material that has a greater hardness than the material of the support element and whereby the bearing member includes a bearing surface upon which the support element with a counter-surface is supported, whereby elevations are arranged encirclingly on the surface of the bearing surface and concentric to one another and form an integral component of the bearing member, whereby every two adjacent elevations limit an encircling receiving space for elastic material of the support element.

A vibration damper is disclosed which includes a damper tube filled with a damping medium; a piston rod which can move in an oscillating and reciprocal manner in the damper tube and one end of which protrudes into the damper tube and which comprises at this end a piston rod extension and a shoulder. A piston divides the interior of the damper tube into a working chamber remote from the piston rod and a piston rod-side working chamber and which is disposed coaxially with respect to the piston rod extension and comprises restrictor openings and at least one spring washer covering these restrictor openings in each working chamber. A buffer spring is disposed in the piston rod-sideworking chamber.

A pneumatic-spring wheel-suspension leg for motor vehicles. The leg comprises a bellows () that can be rolled up over a jacket () and accommodates a pneumatics chamber (), a hydraulic dashpot inside the bellows or jacket, and a piston rod () that travels into and out of the dashpot and is attached axially and resiliently directly or indirectly at one end to the vehicle's chassis. The object is to relieve the dashpot of difficult attenuation tasks when a hard wheel suspension is necessary. The leg accordingly includes another pneumatics chamber () and the communication between the two pneumatics chambers can be partly or entirely blocked by a valve.
