A tubular joint includes a tubular substrate extending along an axis. The substrate has a first inner diameter. A first tubular brace member is additively manufactured on the substrate and is connected thereto at a proximal end of the first tubular brace member. A second tubular brace member is additively manufactured on the substrate and is connected thereto at a proximal end of the second tubular brace member. At respective distal ends of the brace members, the first tubular brace member and the second tubular brace member have a circular cross-sectional shape having a distal wall thickness and a second inner diameter that is smaller than the first inner diameter. At the proximal ends the of brace members, the first tubular brace member and the second tubular brace member have respective proximal wall thicknesses that are greater than the distal wall thickness.

The invention described herein generally pertains to a welding device that deposits a material onto a workpiece, the welding device having with an electrode head and a contact assembly coupled thereto. The contact assembly can house electrodes that allow deposition of material on a workpiece. At least a first set of electrodes and a second set of electrodes can be driven at different speeds. Moreover, welding arcs for one or more electrodes can be established based upon a predetermined order in which the predetermined order can be based on at least one of a location of the electrode head on the workpiece, a start of a welding process, and/or a stopping of a welding process.

The invention described herein generally pertains to a welding device that deposits a material onto a workpiece, the welding device having with an electrode head and a contact assembly coupled thereto. An invention is provided which comprises a tandem welding carriage having at least two welding carriages coupled to each other. Each of the welding carriages having a base, rear wheel assemblies disposed at one end of the base, and welding attachment portions. The two welding carriages are coupled to each other using a coupling member, and each welding carriage is carrying an arc welding device and/or spool to allow for tandem arc welding.
