A method is provided for programming a plurality control units of a vehicle via bus, wherein the control units are each put into a persistent bus idle mode, in which mode the control units each send messages on the bus only when the messages are requested from outside of the particular control unit. While the control units are in the persistent bus idle mode, new firmware is written to the control units in a writing process of the particular control unit. At least a subset of the control units is written to such that the particular writing processes of the subset of the control units overlap in time.

A percussion tool has a cooling air channel for guiding a cooling air flow from a cooling air fan to an outside wall of a cylinder of an internal combustion engine. The cooling air channel is tapered to the extent that partial cooling air flows guided between the respective cooling fins are branched off the main cooling air flow. In such a way, the flow rate of the cooling air flow in the cooling air channel remains substantially constant, resulting in optimized engine cooling. The cooling air channel may be divided into two cooling air channels downstream of the cylinder. One of the cooling air channels guides cooling air to an exhaust gas system of the internal combustion engine, while the other cooling air channel guides cooling air to an outside wall of the guide housing of a hammer mechanism.

A vibrating plate comprises a vibration generator device, which can be controlled in such a manner that the direction of the action of force can be set at a number of locations, particularly in more than two locations. In addition, an advance adjusting device is provided for controlling the vibration generator device whereby the direction of the action of force is set in a position in which a maximum possible advance of the vibrating plate is reached. The direction of the action of force can be changed according to a change in the surroundings of the vibrating plate, particularly to the slope and/or the hardness of a subsoil to be compacted by a soil contact plate. Alternatively, the direction of the action of force can be changed according to the wishes of the operator.

In a method for the automatic log-in of a subscriber station in a motor vehicle into an external information system, a non-automatic log-in is first performed by transmitting to the external information system a subscriber identification, a pertaining password and a station identification. The automatic log-in for the subscriber identification is activated by transmitting a corresponding request from the subscriber station to the external information system, establishing a secret code for the subscriber identification in the external information system, and transmitting the secret code in a hidden manner to the subscriber station. The secret code is stored in a hidden manner in the subscriber station. An automatic log-in of the subscriber station into the external information system is implemented by transmitting to the external information system the subscriber identification without the password, the station identification and transmitting the code in a hidden manner.

Method for the automatic log-in of a subscriber station situated particularly in a motor vehicle in an external information system

A process provides access data to a transportable subscriber station, for establishing access to a service provider station. A first access mode which can be provided using first access data includes a first network that is accessible by means of a selectable network account, a first switching station, and a second network. A second access mode can be provided by means of second access data by way of the first network and a fixedly defined second switching station. If first access data for the selected network account are not available a request for the second access mode is made to the service provider station, using the stored second access data, and a request is made for first access data for the selected network account in the second access mode. This requested access data for the selected network account are transmitted to the subscriber station in the second access mode and stored for the selected network account in the subscriber station.

A seat belt system for a two wheel motor vehicle is arranged for fixing a person on a vehicle seat. Two mutually independent seat belt straps are provided which can be fastened by one belt buckle tongue respectively on one vehicle-fixed belt buckle respectively. By operating one unlatching device respectively on the pertaining belt buckle, one belt buckle tongue respectively can be released from this belt buckle and at least one additional operating device, which interacts with the unlatching devices of both belt buckles, is provided at an easily accessible point on the motor vehicle for releasing both belt buckle tongues from the respective pertaining belt buckle. The unlatching devices of both belt buckles are connected by way of at least one cable pull with the additional operating device. The additional operating device includes a device for the length and/or force compensation, by which the cable pull connection is triggered in that, when the additional operating device is operated, both belt buckles are released, irrespective of whether releasing travels and/or releasing forces of different amounts must in each case be applied for the unlatching devices.
