A method for determining a transfer function of an RX path of a receiver comprises applying a connector signal at a first measurement time. A connector signal response signal is measured. A first reference signal is applied and a first detector signal is measured by a detector, in response to the first reference signal passing through a second reference signal insertion path of the receiver. A first reference signal response signal is measured in response to the first reference signal passing through a second reference signal insertion path of the receiver. A second reference signal is applied and a second detector signal and a second reference signal response signal are measured. The transfer function of the RX path of the receiver is determined based on the connector signal, first detector signal, first reference signal response signal, second detector signal, and second reference signal response signal.

Method and system for determining a transfer function of an RX path

A measurement system is described. The measurement system includes a test-and-measurement (T&A) circuit and an error analysis circuit. The T&A circuit is configured to generate measurement data. The measurement data includes at least one of analysis data and configuration data. The analysis data is associated with an analysis of at least one input signal. The configuration data is associated with at least one of a physical measurement setup of the measurement system and measurement settings of the measurement system. The T&A circuit further is configured to generate a graphic representation of the measurement data. In order to assess the properties of the transmission path, the transfer function is transformed to an impulse response and the echo power of the transmission path is evaluated by analyzing the impulse response.

A device for transmitting and/or receiving electromagnetic signals includes an antenna array, a combiner/splitter unit, a signal processing unit, and a switch. The antenna array includes a plurality of N antenna elements adapted to transmit and/or receive electromagnetic signals. The signal processing unit comprises at least one analog-to-digital converter and/or digital-to-analog converter for each of the antenna elements of the antenna array. The switching unit is adapted to switch between a broadband mode and a spatial resolution mode.

A test system for determining a response function of a transmission channel is disclosed. The transmission channel comprises an input, a mixer, a device under test and a coupling unit. The test system comprises a local oscillator, a delay unit, a combiner and an analysis module. The analysis module is configured to determine the response function of the transmission channel based on a superposed signal, wherein the superposed signal comprises an output signal of a device under test and a delayed oscillator signal.
