Systems and methods for removing fluids from a subterranean well are described. An example embodiment includes a system having a well casing surrounding at least one inner tubing string, where the inner tubing string has a distal section and a proximal section, an apparatus for removing a first fluid within the distal section of the inner tubing string, and an apparatus for removing a second fluid within the proximal section of the inner tubing string.

System and methods for removing fluids from a subterranean well

The invention includes systems and methods for operating, monitoring and controlling downhole fluid control system at a below ground location in a wellhole. The system may include a downhole fluid control system comprising at least one pump, a spoolable composite pipe comprising a fluid channel and at least one energy conductor, and a distal connection device adapted to couple a distal end of the fluid channel to the at least one pump and couple a distal end of the at least one energy conductor to the downhole fluid control system.

The invention includes systems and methods for heating a fluid and transporting the fluid at an elevated temperature. The system includes a fiber reinforced spoolable pipe. This spoolable pipe may include an inner layer, at least one reinforcing layer, at least one heating element, and at least one insulation layer. The heating element may be located external to the inner layer. The invention also includes methods of deploying and rehabilitating a spoolable pipe for transporting a fluid at elevated temperature.

Such system comprises a spoolable tube comprising an inner layer comprising a first layer and a reinforcing layer comprising fiber, which defines a first passage for conveying a first fluid; an outer layer; and one or more fittings adapted to engage an axial end of said inner layer and an axial end of said outer layer.

Dual containment systems, methods and kits

The present disclosure is directed to embodiments of composite tubing having properties tailored to meet a wide variety of environmental and working conditions. Composite tubes disclosed herein may include one or more of the following layers: a internal liner, a composite layer, a thermal insulation layer, a crush resistant layer, a permeation barrier, buoyancy control layer, a pressure barrier layer, and a wear resistant layer. Grooves may be provided in one or more layers of the composite tube to provide increased axial permeability to the composite tube. A venting system, including vent paths, may be provided in the composite tube to vent fluid that may become trapped within the wall of the composite tube.

Composite tubing

A spoolable pipe is disclosed, the spoolable pipe having an internal pressure barrier formed about a longitudinal axis, a reinforcing layer(s) enclosing the internal pressure barrier, and a weight layer comprising fibers. The pipe can also include an energy conductor(s) integrated with and/or located between the internal pressure barrier and/or the reinforcing layer(s).

Weighted spoolable pipe

A spoolable pipe is disclosed, the spoolable pipe having an internal pressure barrier formed about a longitudinal axis, and a reinforcing layer(s) enclosing the internal pressure barrier. In one embodiment, the reinforcing layer(s) can include fibers having at least a partial helical orientation about approximately thirty and about approximately seventy degrees relative to the longitudinal axis, and, the wall can include at least one external layer enclosing the reinforcing layer(s) and having a permeability at least ten times greater than the permeability of the internal pressure barrier. The reinforcing layer(s) can further include a coating. The pipe can also include an energy conductor(s) integrated with and/or located between the internal pressure barrier and/or the reinforcing layer(s).

Fiber reinforced spoolable pipe

This disclosure relates to a spoolable pipe or tube that comprises two or more channels or cells, for example, a plurality of channels, for enhanced or improved fluid transport of one, two, or multi-phase fluids, such as found in the transport of oil and/or natural gas. Also provided are methods for making the disclosed tubes, and methods of transporting multi-phase fluids.

Multi-cell spoolable composite pipe

The present disclosure is directed to methods and systems for pipeline rehabilitation. The methods and systems disclosed herein permit the rehabilitation of long lengths of previously installed pipe and minimize the need for creating multiple access points to the pipeline. The disclosed systems and methods are particularly suited for rehabilitating buried and undersea pipelines or pipelines installed in areas of restricted access.

Systems and methods for pipeline rehabilitation

A composite article is provided that includes a polyolefin layer, a tie-layer, and a non-polyolefin. The tie-layer may comprise a silicon modified polyolefin. Methods are also provided for adhering a polyolefin to a non-polyolefin. Such articles may used, for example, in composite tubing.
