The present invention is a system comprised of a water meter collection node (i.e., water meter or base station) with a water flow rate sensor(s), water valve control mechanism (water shut-off/on), and leak detection capability. The system uses wireless transceiver technology to communicate with a private or corporate network, or to communicate via an internet connection. The system transfers encrypted water data and information via application programming interface to remote computers and/or server, enabling access of the water data and information by remote electronic communication devices. The water meter collection node is configured to communicate with an authenticated communication hub that functions to extend the range of wireless transmissions of the collection node. The communication hub can by wire or wirelessly communicate with an internet router and transfers water data and information to an internet connection. The collection node(s) and/or communication hub(s) can wirelessly communicate with a private or commercial network system, and to a remote computer/server and/or a cloud service. One or more communication hubs can function as repeater apparatuses and/or can perform complex operations such as using mesh technology, or point-to-point or peer-to-peer connections.

Water meter and leak detection system

The present invention is a water meter and leak detection system that has a private or public property(ies) facility water supply interruption system. The system is comprised of a water meter collection node system with shut-off/on mechanism that has wireless Bluetooth, Bluetooth low energy, Zigbee, Z-wave LoRa, Wi-Fi, radio frequency and cellular technology with a private or corporate network, or internet connection that transfer water parameter data to a remote computer or server. Or the system can consist of a water meter collection node that communicates by Bluetooth, Bluetooth low energy, Zigbee, Z-wave LoRa, Wi-Fi, radio frequency and cellular technology with a data communication hub whereby the communication hub is in wired or wireless communication with an internet router that communicates with an internet connection, or with a private or commercial network system, to a remote computer/server or a cloud-computing commercial service.

The present invention comprises a water meter and leak detection system with a collection node and optional remotely located communication hub. The collection node is attached to a water supply within a public or private building with wireless or wire capability to communicate with one or more remote communication hubs, routers or other wireless equipment that provide internet access. A cell phone or smart phone or other remote display and/or recording apparatus is available for viewing water parameter data by the commercial owner, occupier or home/apartment/condominium resident. The water use and water energy use monitoring water meter and leak detection system collection node that includes a CPU/microprocessor/microcontroller, water flow sensor, wireless low power long-range type wireless communication means and power source, an antenna and optionally includes a power generation module, a pressure sensor for detecting small leak conditions, a temperature sensor, and one or more water quality sensors. The present invention is a remote display that communicated with a water parameter sensors engage to or in close proximity to a water supply piping or incorporated within a shower, or bath or faucet head, in an aesthetically pleasing format. The remote water parameter sensors includes power source, microprocessor and/or microcontroller, temperature sensor and/or water flow sensors, timing circuits. The remote display apparatus can communicated with the water parameter sensors by wired or means. The remote display apparatus can be a substantially round housing encircled with an interface ring having a centrally located display, or can be a square, rectangle, circle or other configuration touch-screen display mounted on a housing that has soft button for menu derived operations. Both embodiments have a back portion designed to adhere to various surfaces.

Remote apparatus for displaying, monitoring and controlling shower, bath or faucet water parameters

The present invention is a water meter and leak detection system that has a residential or industrial/commercial facility water supply interruption system. The system is comprised of a remotely controllable base station with shut-off/on mechanism that is in wireless or wired (X10, Zwave, UPB) communication with a convenient controller. The base station with shut-off/on mechanism is interposed within a water line from a water main to the living or operating quarters portion of a residential or an industrial/commercial facility or building, such that activation of the base station with shut-off/on valve operates to prevent flow of water from the water main to the living quarters when the residential home or industrial/commercial facility or building is vacated or unsupervised. In this manner, damage to the living quarters or the industrial/commercial facility or building from failure of water pipes running through the living or working quarters is prevented during times that the shut-off mechanism is activated.

The present invention is a water use and/or a water energy use monitoring apparatus that is affixed to the hot and cold water supply piping for continuously (or on demand) monitoring displaying the water and water energy (hot vs. ambient) use within a residential or commercial building. The water use monitor apparatus includes a power generation, a microprocessor, temperature and water flow sensors, optional water quality sensors, timing circuits, wireless circuitry, and a display means. A wired or wireless means is designed to electronically communicate water use, water energy use and/or water quality information to a remotely located display apparatus or typical cell phone, smart phones, or similar apparatus for convenient observation by a commercial, operator or occupier, resident, municipal or government agency.

A wired or wireless means is designed to electronically communicate water use, water energy use and/or water quality information to a remotely located display apparatus or typical cell phone, smart phones, or similar apparatus for convenient observation by a commercial, operator or occupier, resident, municipal or government agency.

The present invention is a water damage prevention system that has a residential or industrial/commercial facility water supply interruption system. The system is comprised of a remotely controllable base station with shut-off/on mechanism that is in wireless or wired communication with a convenient controller. The base station with shut-off/on mechanism is interposed within a water line from a water main to the living or operating quarters portion of a residential or a industrial/commercial facility or building, such that activation of the base station with shut-off/on valve operates to prevent flow of water from the water main to the living quarters when the residential home or industrial/commercial facility or building is vacated or unsupervised. In this manner, damage to the living quarters or the industrial/commercial facility or building from failure of water pipes running through the living or working quarters is prevented during times that the shut-off mechanism is activated.

Water use monitoring apparatus and water damage prevention system

The present invention is a display apparatus for affixation to shower head, bath or sink faucet water supply piping or incorporated within a shower, or bath or faucet head. The display apparatus includes a power generation, CPU or microprocessor, temperature sensor and/or water flow sensors, timing circuits, and audio or verbal communication means and a display means. The present invention can position some components remotely from other components that communicate by wired or wireless means. The communication means is designed 1) to detect and respond to audio signals or verbal instructions or commands and/or 2) annunciate audio signals or verbal messages.

The display apparatus includes a power generation, CPU or microprocessor, temperature sensor and/or water flow sensors, timing circuits and a display means. The display means can be an analog or digital display or combination of display means. Ergonomically placed buttons can be incorporated into the display means to change parameter units (e.g. metric to US), set alarm conditions (e.g. temperature over set point, time past a set point, flow rate set points). The display means must be able to provide sufficient lighting in shower conditions. In addition, the display means must be able to sustain capability in moist wet conditions. In the embodiment defined by the attached shower display apparatus, know piping joint technology will be used for installation into both new and presently installed shower systems. In the embodiment defined by the display means incorporate into the shower head the shower head/display assembly can also be installed in both new and presently installed shower systems.

The display means can be an analog or digital display or combination of display means. The authorization means can comprise a key pad located as soft keys on the display apparatus, a remote key pad, an identification or electronic card means, a bar code or RFTD means, or a biometric means.
