Evacuable, resealable bag

A reclosable package includes first and second side panels connected to each other along respective side edges and bottom edges. A zipper closure is secured to the first and second side panels along upper edges thereof. A slider device is operably mounted on the zipper closure for opening and closing the zipper closure and a tamper-evident header is connected to the zipper closure and surrounds the slider device. The tamper-evident header has a front portion and a rear portion with upper ends connected together above the slider device and lower ends connected to the zipper closure. The front portion includes a segment displaceable therefrom to allow access to the slider device. A rear portion of the header may be formed with a hole for suspending or carrying the package.

The present invention provides a storage system having a storage device having at least one polymeric sheet sealed along a portion of its' periphery to provide an opening to a storage space; a resealable closure structure adapted to seal the opening to the storage space, the resealable closure structure comprising selectively engaging male and female profiles and a sealing compound comprising liquid silicone and at least one filler in proportions suitable for at least incidental contact to food items contained within the storage space; a vacuum valve assembly disposed on the polymeric sheet; a stand-off structure disposed adjacent to the vacuum valve assembly, wherein the stand-off structure has a series of raised surfaces facing the vacuum valve assembly; a portable vacuum pump assembly structured to engage the vacuum valve assembly; and a liquid separator assembly coupled to the portable vacuum pump assembly.

A slider device having contoured top and sidewalls is disclosed for use with a resealable package. In a first embodiment, the slider device includes an engagement structure for engaging and interlocking first and second closure profiles of a resealable closure mechanism. The engagement structure includes a first protrusion and a second protrusion depending from the top wall of the slider device for engaging first and second closure profiles of a resealable closure mechanism. The first and second protrusions selectively open and close the resealable closure mechanism as the slider device is moved from a first position to a second position. In a second embodiment, a slider device is disclosed having first and second slide channels that engage first and second closure profiles. The first and second slide channels selectively open and close the resealable closure mechanism as the slider device is moved from a first position to a second position.

Leak resistant slider device

A resealable package includes first and second panel sections joined together to define an enclosed region, first and second opposite side edges, a bottom edge, and a mouth that provides access to the enclosed region. The resealable package also includes a closure mechanism for selectively opening and sealing the mouth. The closure mechanism includes first and second closure profiles, the first closure profile having first and second base strips with first and second interlocking closure members extending from the first and second base strips, respectively, and the second closure profile having third and fourth base strips with third and fourth interlocking closure members extending from the third and fourth base strips, respectively. The first and second interlocking closure members and third and fourth interlocking closure members extend a length from the first, second, third and fourth base strips sufficient for the first and third interlocking closure members and the second and fourth interlocking closure members to selectively engage. The closure mechanism further includes a slider having a plow. The plow comprises a substantially vertical member depending from the top of the slider and a substantially horizontal member that is connected to the substantially vertical member and is disposed between the first and third interlocking closure members and the second and fourth interlocking closure members, respectively.
