A boiler loop system including a primary-secondary piping loop interface apparatus including a flow diversion device, and a drain valve, and a drain port in branches from a circumferential sidewall. In an embodiment, supply branch piping and return branch piping connect the primary-secondary piping loop interface apparatus to a boiler and provide attachment points for auxiliary plumbing equipment. In an embodiment, the boiler loop is integrated into the primary loop.

Boiler loop system

A gauge adaptor apparatus allows easy connection and removal of a gauge to a hydronic system or other fluidic piping system for taking a pressure or temperature reading. The gauge adaptor apparatus is compatible with standard hose connections and can be used to quickly and easily add a gauge onto a hydronic system without requiring extensive labor and without needing to halt the operation of the system. Gauge adaptor apparatuses can be used to take one-time readings, or they can be left permanently installed for ongoing readings of the system. Gauge adaptor apparatuses take up little space, are highly compatible with existing fluid valves and system configurations, can be installed quickly and easily without requiring much labor, and can be easily removed for system draining, servicing, or replacement.

Temperature and pressure gauge adaptors

The present invention is generally directed to an isolation valve unit including a valve body comprised of a metal, such as brass, and having at least two ports, at least one of the ports including an overmolded thermoplastic end surrounding and enclosing the port. In one embodiment, the thermoplastic end is composed of a polypropylene random (PP-R) material and is securely formed over the port by way of an over molding technique. The valve unit further includes a ball valve accommodated within the valve body and a handle for actuating the ball valve. The isolation valve unit is configured to control the flow of fluids in a plumbing system via actuation of the ball valve.

A purge valve comprising a valve body having a first primary loop port, a second primary loop port, a first secondary loop port and a second secondary loop port is provided. The secondary loop ports are disposed at respective ends or a linear secondary loop portion of the valve body. A primary loop portion of the valve body is formed by a pair of closely spaced tees extending from the secondary loop portion. At least one main valve portion is disposed in a first one of the tees. A drain/venting valve portion extends from the main valve portion. A portion of the secondary loop portion between the tees is shared with the primary loop portion in which flow in a primary loop and a secondary loop are hydraulically separated. A second drain/venting valve portion may be provided in a second one of the tees.

A near-boiler piping loop apparatus is provided including a primary/secondary piping loop interface apparatus having a unitary construction including a secondary loop shut-off valve, drain valve and drain port in each branch of a secondary loop for connection to a boiler. Supply branch piping and return branch piping connects the interface apparatus to the boiler and provides attachment points for auxiliary plumbing equipment. The apparatus is adapted to connect to pump in variable orientations using rotatable flanges on the interface apparatus and on a wye strainer in the secondary loop supply branch and includes a union fitting attached to the interface apparatus. The union fitting provides a mounting hole for a temperature or pressure gauge.

The valve body also defines a fluid flow channel, a drain flow channel and a valve portion, wherein the valve portion is disposed in the valve body to be communicated with the first fluid flow port, the second fluid flow port and the fluid drain port. A flow diversion device is also provided and is disposed within the valve portion. The flow diversion device is configurable between a first configuration and a second configuration, such that when the flow diversion device is in the first configuration the first fluid flow port is communicated with the second fluid flow port. Consequently, when the flow diversion device is in the second configuration the first fluid flow port is communicated with the fluid drain port. The fluid flow can be decrease or stop by use of the valve within the fluid drain port.

A ball valve unit for shutting off the flow of fluids flowing in heating and plumbing systems. The ball valve unit includes a ball valve and a main section including a flange formed integrally with the main section. A chamber is formed in the main section for receiving the ball of the ball valve. The main section is made of brass in order to prevent galvanic action between ball valve unit and the heating/plumbing system.
