A wireless telemetry module and associated method reject interference in a received signal. The wireless telemetry module includes an antenna receives a communication signal transmitted at a desired channel frequency and having a channel bandwidth. A transceiver is controlled to operate in receiving and transmitting modes by a processor. An interference rejection module receives control signals from the processor corresponding to the desired channel frequency and is coupled between the antenna and the transceiver when the transceiver is operating in the receiving mode.

Preselector interference rejection and dynamic range extension

An implantable medical device (IMD) can include an implantable pulse generator (IPG), such as a cardiac pacemaker or an implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD). At least one lead is coupled to the IMD at a proximal end to the anatomic tissue of a patient at a distal end. According to various embodiments, a one-quarter wavelength open circuit terminated transmission line forms a stub filter to attenuate an interfering signal, such as those created by an MRI scanner during an MRI procedure. By cancelling the interfering signal, both the IMD and patient are protected from any adverse effects caused by the interfering signal.

System and method for protecting implanted medical devices from interfering radiated fields

An implantable medical device is provided including a housing, an external circuit element extending outwardly from the housing, an internal circuit enclosed by the housing, a feedthrough array disposed along the housing having at least one filtered feedthrough and at least one unfiltered feedthrough, wherein the unfiltered feedthrough is adapted for connection to the outwardly extending circuit element; and including means for minimizing electromagnetic coupling between the filtered feedthrough and the unfiltered feedthrough.
