Various embodiments include a system to manage a tool on a conveyance from a surface of a wellbore. The system includes a remotely controllable reel to receive the conveyance about the reel and remotely controllable to distribute the conveyance into or out of the wellbore. The system also includes a crane positionable to support the conveyance between the reel and the wellbore.

A sampling tool to sample core samples from a wellbore is disclosed. A core sampling storage module includes a pressure housing to store a plurality of core samples, a core tube within the pressure housing, the core tube to store a plurality of core samples drilled from a downhole formation, a pressure housing cover that is configured to be selectively rotated to an open position or a closed position, an activation mechanism to receive a command, and based on the command, open or close the pressure housing cover, a push rod to selectively install a plug to cover the core tube, wherein when the plug is installed the pressure housing maintains a pressure.

Apparatus and method for storing core samples at high pressure

Systems and methods for tracking assets are provided. In some aspects, a method includes generating a tracking identifier for an asset and storing the tracking identifier in a wireless tag associated with the asset. The tracking identifier includes a protocol identifier that identifies a protocol used for generating the tracking identifier. The tracking identifier also includes an asset identifier that identifies a class to which the asset belongs. The tracking identifier also includes at least one data load that identifies an element specific to the asset. The tracking identifier also includes at least one data load type identifier that identifies a type of a corresponding element specific to the asset or provides an end-of-data indication. The tracking identifier also includes at least one data load size identifier that identifies a size of a corresponding data load.
