A composite valve body is disposed at least partially around the metal insert and having at least one port in fluid communication with the fluid passage with the metal insert. A valve member is partially disposed in the metal insert and operable to control the fluid flow through the fluid passage of the metal insert and parts of the valve body.

A solenoid actuated valve () holds pressure and volume of an accumulator with low leakage and provides low actuation drag during a release stroke for dumping fluid contents of the accumulator at very low current draw. Two elongate valve members () are assembled to be movable axially relative to one another with a gland or groove () formed in one of the two valve members (). An o-ring () located within the groove () is in a non-contacting relationship to the other valve member () when in a non-energized state. An energizer ring () located within the groove () can reciprocate axially with respect to the o-ring (). The energizer ring () moves axially toward the o-ring () in response to fluid pressure against a surface () of the energizer ring () opposite from the o-ring () to axially compresses the o-ring (), causing the o-ring () to expand radially outwardly into sealing contact with the other valve member ().

One-way pressure activated piston seal

A hydraulic valve assembly () adapted to be mounted to a transmission control module () and having a valve body (), a valve bore (), and at least one pressure supply port () as well as at least one pressure control port () that establish fluid communication between a source of pressurized fluid and a component to be controlled by the valve assembly. A dual poppet low leak variable bleed solenoid valve, including a solenoid portion with an adjustable end cap disposed through the solenoid. Exhaust ports are disposed about the end cap. A hydraulic portion has a valve housing that is connectable to the solenoid portion. The hydraulic portion has a control volume formed within, and a supply port is connected through the valve housing. A valve shaft is slidably disposed through the solenoid portion and extends longitudinally into the hydraulic portion. A first end of the valve shaft terminates in the solenoid portion forming a primary valve, and a second end of the valve shaft terminates in the hydraulic portion forming a secondary valve. The valve shaft further has a hollow channel disposed through the valve shaft to allow the passage of a fluid medium between the first end and second end of the valve shaft.

Low leak poppet solenoid

The present invention relates to a modified intake manifold having short runner valves in the manifold tuning valve. Anti-chatter devices are disclosed for reducing shaft chatter without placing friction on the shafts. A lost motion linkage is used to ensure closure of the short runner valves. Radiused seating surfaces are used for seating of the manifold tuning valve.
