Exemplary climbing track assemblies can include an attachment to the bottom of a ski that improves traction for hiking or climbing uphill. Assemblies can also include an under-binding bracket, which is mounted under the toe-piece binding of the ski which allows the device to be securely fastened. Assemblies may further include a shim, provided as a small plate mounted under the heel-piece binding, which operates to keep the binding level.

A system and method for converting a first print file having embedded job ticket data generated in a first format into a second print file of a second format while preserving the embedded job-ticket data. A computer system and a computer program are configured to convert the first print file to the second print file by translating the first print file to the second print file, searching the first print file for the embedded job ticket data and associated page ranges, and inserting the embedded job ticket data and associated page ranges identified by the searching into the translated second print file. A printing system includes a digital frontend, an image output terminal, and an interpreter unit. The interpreter unit is configured to parse the second print file for the inserted job ticket data and program a print job based on the parsed job ticket data.

A method and system for selective application of AIE (Automatic Image Enhancement) based on the characteristic of an image. The image can be evaluated utilizing PDL data, object location data, image layering data, image overprint data and image raster data in combination with a weighting scheme to ascertain whether the image should be designated as a background or watermark. The designated images can be passed through a tag to a DFE (Digital Front End) application in order to determine the application of AIE to the images.

Method and system for the selective application of automatic image enhancement to digital images

Systems and methods are described that facilitate identifying objects in a document (e.g., a PDF document) for automatic image enhancement (AIE). A PDF document is 'chunked' or segmented into chunks, and boundaries between chunks are identified as real or imaginary. Chunks sharing imaginary boundaries are combined, while real boundaries are retained, to generate 'de-chunked' objects. These objects are then classified, and an AIE application is executed on objects meeting pre-specified classification criteria. In this manner, objects of r which AIE is not desired are not subjected to the AIE application, thereby saving time and processing resources associated with enhancing the document.

A multi-function device can be configured to receive a job from a mobile communication device via a submission path. A text representation with respect to the submission path and a spatial representation with respect to the text representation can be automatically generated. An accelerator report can be generated based on the text representation and the spatial representation and the report can be added to a cover page of the job. Such an approach effectively enables client-less job submission with respect to the multi-function device.
