Breakaway retention device () is comprises a retained member () and a retention body (). The retention member includes a retention knob (). The retention body includes a housing having one or more resilient components (and), two or more retention members (, and), and a retention space (). The retention space is at least partially defined by the retention members and configured to receive the retention knob when the retained member and the retention body are coupled together. The resilient components are disposed to resiliently maintain each of the retention members in a predetermined engagement position in the retention body to engage the retention knob when the retained member and the retention body are coupled together. The retained member and the retention body are prevented from being decoupled without the application of a predetermined force.

Systems and methods providing an electrical interface between a male plug () and a female receptacle (). Communication device includes a housing with a two or more apertures defined therein to form a speaker grille. The apertures are arranged to form one or more aperture sets, each comprised of at least two apertures connected by a fluid channel defined on an internal face of the panel. The fluid channel is comprised of one or more channel segments. Each of the channels segments and the acoustic apertures has a predetermined size and shape which draws fluid through the apertures from an exterior side of the panel, to an interior side of the panel, and then into one of the channel segments. The dimensions and geometry of the channels and apertures are selected to cause the fluid in the channels to exit from the housing at a lowermost one of the acoustic apertures.

The connector body comprises one or more elongated cavity structures, each comprising a recess () molded into the second face. Conductive spring members (), each comprised of an elongated cantilevered beam element, are secured by one of the spring anchors within one of the cavity structures. An outer seal () is provided, coextensive with the peripheral wall.

Electrical connector

Systems and methods () for attaching/detaching a battery assembly () from an electronic device. The battery assembly comprises top and bottom covers () coupled together. First latches () protrude out and away from a first end edge portion of the top cover. The first latches rotate into latching engagement with first latch surfaces () of the electronic device (). Second latches () protrude out and away from a second end edge portion of the bottom cover which is opposed from the first end edge portion of the top cover. The second latches snap into latching engagement with second latch surfaces () of the electronic device. Dual-action buttons () facilitate the latching engagement/disengagement of the second latches to/from the electronic device. The first and second latches facilitate a deflection of the battery assembly towards the electronic device when the battery assembly is attached thereto.

A mobile wireless communications device includes a power module with a first housing, at least one power cell carried by the first housing, and a first plurality of contact pads coupled to the at least one power cell and exposed on the first housing. A wireless module is adjacent the power module and includes a second housing having an opening therein, and wireless communications circuitry carried by the second housing and comprising a second plurality of contact pads aligned with the opening. A connector is in the opening and has a dielectric body, and a plurality of spring contacts carried by the dielectric body and exposed on opposite sides thereof coupling respective ones of the first and second pluralities of contact pads together.

An otoscopic instrument includes an instrument head attached to a handle and a speculum tip actuator mechanism for receiving, retaining and selectively ejecting an otoscopic speculum tip element. The tip actuator mechanism includes an actuator knob rotatably attached to the instrument head in which the instrument head includes annular securement slots sized for receiving external engagement features of a speculum tip element which are rotatably fitted into the slot(s). The actuator knob further includes a pin for displacing a secured speculum tip element from the securing slot upon rotation in a predetermined direction in order to eject the tip element.

The system to implant a prosthetic device in a long bone such as a femur or a humerus includes a stem implant having a recess. The system of present invention also includes a broach to prepare the long bone that may receive the stem implant. The broach also has a recess that is similar to the recess in the stem implant. An adapter of a generally rectangular shape similar to the recess fits snugly in the recess in the stem implant. A trial neck that fits snugly in the recess formed in the adapter is also provided. A trial head may be assembled on the trial neck. A neck similar to the trial neck can be inserted in place of trial neck. A head may be assembled on the proximal end of the neck. A system for implantation of a prosthetic device in a long bone may be made available as a kit that includes at least two stems having the adapter inserted in each of the stem, at least two trial necks, at least two trial heads, at least two necks and at least two heads.

Otoscopic tip element

A tip element for an otoscopic apparatus includes engagement features that permit selective attachment to two different tip attachment mechanisms. The tip element includes both interior and exterior engagement features that provide interchangeability with otoscopes having different tip attachment schemes. The tip element includes an increased distal aperture formed from a decreased slope that enables a larger field of view, permitting the entire tympanic membrane to be viewed at once. External engagement features permit ejection of the tip element from the otoscope, as well as stackability of a plurality of tip elements.

Otoscopic tip element and related method of use

A developer cartridge for containing a developer and for delivering the developer to a developer hopper of an electro-photographic machine. A developer containment portion includes a first portion having an at least partially closed volume configured to contain the developer and a second portion adjacent the first portion and having an opening configured to deliver the developer to the developer hopper. A sealing gasket is disposed adjacent the second portion of the developer containment portion and surrounds at least a portion of a circumference of the opening. A first cover is disposed adjacent the second portion of the developer containment portion and is positionable between an open position for delivery of the developer and a closed position for preventing delivery of the developer. The sealing gasket contacts the first cover to prevent undesired leakage of the developer therebetween.

A clamp for holding an analyzer in place on a horizontal surface, comprising an entrance mouth angled to allow insertion of a bracket of the analyzer without initial accurate alignment, and a tongue-and-opening interlock between the clamp and the bracket on the analyzer, sized to give limited sideways movement between the clamp and analyzer, once the clamp is locked onto the bracket. The clamp is locked to the bracket using a spring effective to adjust for dimensional variations.
