An Air Traffic Control (ATC) console provides improved structural integrity and cable routing. The ATC console includes laterally spaced apart vertical ribs including a strong center box structure and slat wall hooks on opposing flat wings. Front and rear slat wall panels attached to opposite sides of the ribs by horizontal lips on rear surfaces of the slat walls engaging the slat wall hooks. Horizontal openings for cable passage are created by spacing consecutive slat walls apart, and may be staggered to avoid light reaching an operator. Brush grommets may fill the openings in the front slat walls further preventing light from reaching the operator. Cable trays may be position under the horizontal openings and the vertical ribs may include cable pass throughs aligned with the horizontal openings and cable trays allowing cables to be routed laterally between the slat walls.

Air traffic control center console

A convertible media and document storage system uses elements of common pallet rack framing and is convertible between open slot and container storage. The container storage includes pilasters hanging from horizontal beam elements of the framing, and vertically spaced apart pairs of adjustable wireform racks engage the pilasters and provide horizontal ledges for supporting containers of various sizes. The use of hanging pilasters minimizes strength and material requirements. The open slot storage includes tall vertical drawers riding on overhead rails attachable to the same horizontal beam elements and individually horizontally drawn for access to the stored material such as data tape and disk media. The storage system optimizes utilization of space and allows large facilities to reconfigure storage between open slot and container storage when demands change.

Convertible storage rack system

A rack conversion system mounts to an existing storage rack and includes lateral tracks for side to side movement of forward bins and longitudinal tracks for front to rear movement of rear bins. The bins are sized to efficiently store a particular item, for example, paper files. The forward bins are movable side to side along the lateral tracks and reside in front of the rear bin. The rear bins are moveable front to rear along the longitudinal tracks and are normally positioned to the rear to allow the side to side movement of the forward bins. The lateral tracks are preferably mounted below the forward bins and do not interfere with the movement of the rear bins, and the longitudinal tracks are preferably mounted above the rear bins and do not interfere with movement of the forward bins.

Document storage rack conversion apparatus

A cable management and distribution system comprises posts and beams. The posts may be one of several heights to accommodate various office layouts. The beams run between the posts and a cable entry slot runs the length of each beam to allow cable entry at any point along the beam. The beams further provide space for running and storing cables and fixed power outlets may be attached to the beam interior for plugging power cords. A lift off cap may be positioned over the beam, or a bridge may be positioned above the beam to provide a separate path for data cables. The bridge includes an upper face with a mounting surface for a privacy panel or the like, and accepts plain vertical side covers, or vertical side covers with accessory tracks. The posts include lower mounting points and the beams include upper mounting points for modesty panels.

Cable distribution and management system

A storage cabinet () has a number of drawers () with shelves () having cutout walls () providing side support for stored modules (). An alternative shelving unit () includes a spring member () with leaf springs () that press stored modules () against a lip () on the unit. The drawers () have roller apparatus () on a topmost surface which hangingly roll within curved holders ().

Wire distribution panels for free-standing furniture

A cabinet drawer () for storing information modules () of selectively different widths in rows extending front to back of the drawer has row dividers () which are removably end mounted within slots () at any desirable width spacing. The dividers each have a flexible center portion () terminating in pedestals () for receipt within the slots (). When dividers are so-mounted within a drawer () they are secured in place by inherent spring characteristics of the divider ().

An information module storage case ( ) include a plurality of storage shelves ( ) of varying spacing to accommodate modules ( ) of different dimensions. A shelving case assembly ( ) includes two or more rows of shelving cases ( ), certain of which are movable to enable access to both front row cases and those behind for storing or retrieving information modules ( ). Movable cases include rollers ( ) on a bottom panel that have constrained movement along a pedestal channel ( ) and upper guide means ( ) maintaining upright relation to immovable cases ( ). A cover plate ( ) is held securely in place on a floor surface by a pedestal ( ).

Shelving case assembly for simultaneously storing individual and mixed different sized information modules

One side of a cabinet drawer shelf is at least partially closed off to prevent storing access while the other side is open for storing microfilm cartridges or other items. A cartridge is of such dimensions as to extend outwardly from the shelf confines enabling ready access for removal and replacement. An elongated pressure exerting retention strip located in the top portion of each shelf is constructed of a flat sheet-like strip of a springlike material having a plurality of transfer slits therein. The strip lateral edges are confined in a pair of spaced apart grooves distending the strip to engage and hold cartridges on the shelf. In another version, a strip of a plastic foam is located on either the shelf top surface with a thin strip of a material having low frictional sliding surface thereon, such as Mylar, for example, being located thereover.
