A tissue-removing catheter for removing tissue in a body lumen includes an elongate body having an axis. A handle is mounted to a proximal end portion of the elongate body. A tissue-removing element is mounted on a distal end portion of the elongate body. An inner liner is received within the elongate body and defines a guidewire lumen. An advancer is mounted on the handle and is movable relative to the housing. The inner liner is coupled to the advancer at a proximal end portion of the inner liner such that movement of the advancer causes a corresponding movement of the inner liner to exert a push force on the tissue-removing element to advance the tissue-removing element and a pull force on the tissue-removing element to retract the tissue-removing element for moving the tissue-removing element relative to the handle.

An elongate body extending from a proximal end to a distal end includes a core comprising an amorphous metal alloy and includes a sheath that comprises a crystalline metallic material. The sheath surrounds the core.

A guide extension catheter includes a proximal shaft, a distal shaft, and a plurality of perfusion openings. The distal shaft includes a jacket and a helical coil structure embedded in the jacket, the distal shaft defining a lumen. The plurality of perfusion openings are disposed though the jacket of the distal shaft between windings of the helical coil structure. The guide extension catheter provides additional back support to the guide catheter. The plurality of perfusion openings allow fluid communication between an area outside the guide extension catheter and the lumen.

In some examples, a catheter includes an elongated body configured for navigation through vasculature of a patient, the elongated body having an inner wall that defines a lumen extending from a proximal portion to a distal portion. The elongated body is configured to pass a fluid through the lumen and out a distal end of the elongated body. At the distal portion, the inner wall defines a convergent-divergent region such that a diameter of the lumen while moving distally within the elongated body converges from a first lumen diameter to a second lumen diameter and then diverges from the second lumen diameter to a third lumen diameter. The convergent-divergent region is configured to cause a fluid flowing through the lumen to cavitate as the fluid flows through the convergent-divergent region.
