A humidifier comprises hollow shell and humidifier core. The humidifier core includes a transfer sheet, a plurality of first channels, and a plurality of second channels. The transfer sheet comprises a permeable material having a plurality of sections and a plurality of layers of spacing materials. The plurality of first channels are configured to allow air flow in a first direction and to prevent airflow in a second direction that is different from the first direction. The plurality of second channels are configured to allow air flow in the second direction and to prevent airflow in the first direction. The humidifier comprises a stack of alternating first channels and second channels, and the first channels are configured to transfer liquid from air flowing in at least one of the first channels to air flowing in at least one of the second channels. The humidifier is suitable for use in fuel cell stack.

An ion exchange filter assembly includes an ion exchange filter cartridge and a housing. The ion exchange filter cartridge includes an ion exchange filter for filtering a coolant. The housing includes a first section receiving the ion exchange filter cartridge and a second section for degassing the coolant. The first section is in fluid communication with the second section.

An air duct for an air induction system of a combustion engine. The air duct includes an air duct, a frame and a hydrocarbon adsorbing member. The air duct housing including a first end and a second end. A fluid path extends between the first and second ends. The frame is disposed in the fluid path. The hydrocarbon adsorbing member is generally planar and is retained within the frame such that first and second opposing planar sides of the hydrocarbon adsorbing member are exposed to the fluid path. The housing may include a first portion carrying the frame. The hydrocarbon adsorbing element may be retained within the frame by a second portion of the housing.

An air induction system for a vehicle having an engine includes a housing, a filter and an acoustic resonator. The housing includes a first housing member, a second housing member, and an air flow path passing through the housing. The filter is located within the housing and disposed in the air flow path for removing debris from intake air. The acoustic resonator is integrally formed with the first housing member and is operative to reduce noise generated by the engine.

A filter assembly may include a housing, a filter element, and a layer of air-permeable material. The housing may include an inlet and an outlet. The filter element may be disposed within the housing and may include an upstream face, a downstream face, a first end face facing the inlet and extending between the upstream and downstream faces. The layer of air-permeable material may be attached to the filter element and may cover the upstream face and a portion of the first end face that is exposed to the inlet.

An air filter element is provided with an anti-crown support grid on a clean side of the filter media. The support grid includes one or more elongated mounting members provided along periphery portions of the grid and at least one support rib spanning between and secured at opposing ends to the mounting members. The mounting members are embedded within a peripheral seal frame. The support grid may include at least one alignment feature sized, configured and positioned to be receivable into a complimentary feature of a housing so as to positionally lock the filter element and the housing.

An air pillow system for an air intake tract includes a plurality of inwardly extending ribs arranged in a distally spaced arrangement and defining a plurality of peripherally closed air pillow pockets. Each pocket has an open end opening towards an airflow stream to be guided. Each rib is configured with an inwardly extending length selected to correlate with a boundary of a low-loss airflow glide path. The air pillows operate to guide the airflow stream along the low-loss airflow glide path with reduced airflow stream turbulence and airflow pressure loss.

An engine air intake tract includes a flexible air intake duct having a flexible tubular body. A plurality of radially extending convolutes are formed in and spaced apart on an axially extending outer wall of the tubular body. Each convolute has a circumferential ring-shaped inwardly extending peak bordered by outwardly extending troughs. A liquid sump is formed into a lower portion of the tubular body and includes a plurality of spaced sump chambers with each chamber formed between and connected to at least two adjacent ones of the convolutes and extending radially outwardly from the convolutes.
