A stabilizer composition having low volatility and high efficiency comprising: (i.) 25.000% to 99.997% by weight of at least one dimethyltin compound of formula (CH)Sn(S(CH)COOR)wherein Ris a linear, branched or cyclic C-Calkyl group and m is 1 or 2, optionally containing unsaturations in the form of double or triple bonds; (ii.) 0.001% to 50.000% by weight of at least one mono-methyltin compound of formula CHSn(S(CH)COOR)wherein Ris a linear, branched or cyclic C-Calkyl group and n is 1 or 2, optionally containing unsaturations in the form of double or triple bonds; (iii.) 0.001% to 10.000% by weight of at least one tri-methyltin compound of formula (CH)Sn(S(CH)COOR) wherein Ris a linear, branched or cyclic C-Calkyl group and p is 1 or 2, optionally containing unsaturations in the form of double or triple bonds; and (iv.) 0.001% to 15.000% by weight of at least one thioester of formula HS(CH)COORwherein Ris a linear, branched or cyclic C-Calkyl group and q is 1 or 2, optionally containing unsaturations in the form of double or triple bonds.

Disclosed is an oil composition wherein the oil contains measurable amounts of peroxide resulting from peroxidation, and also includes an effective amount of a peroxide-reducing phosphorous compound, preferably an alkyl/aryl substituted phosphite compound or phosphinic acid (HPO) and its derivatives.

Peroxide reduction in functionalized vegetable oils

Disclosed is a method for the reduction of residual peroxides in vegetable oils, preferably epoxidized vegetable oils using a phosphorous compound preferably alkyl/aryl substituted phosphite compounds or hypophosphorous acid and its derivatives.

A composition containing an epoxide of fatty acid esters, such as epoxidized methyl soyate prepared by alcoholysis of epoxidized triglycerides, suitable for degreasing, paint removal, cleaning and the like is provided herein. The component can be blended with both conventional and soy-based co-solvents and other components such as surfactants and the like.

Bio-based solvents and methods for using same

Fatty alcohol containing admixed therewith a small amount on the order of up to 1.0 wt. % of hypophosphorous acid, exhibits markedly reduced oxidation and oxidation-related deterioration such as discoloration and other side effects. This discovery is particularly useful when the fatty alcohol is subjected to reactions such as esterification under conditions which could cause or accelerate undesired oxidation.
