The present invention relates to a filter device for filtration of oil, comprising a first filtration layer, a second filtration layer, and a frame element, wherein&#x2014;the frame element is arranged in a sandwich-like manner between the first filtration layer and the second filtration layer, and wherein&#x2014;the frame element has a multitude of passage orifices, such that a number of intermediate chambers corresponding to the multitude of passage orifices is formed between the first filtration layer and the second filtration layer, wherein the filter device is characterized in that the frame element comprises an oil-permeable filter medium, by means of which filtration of the oil passing therethrough is effected.

Filter device for an oil filter

A filter medium for the filtration of oil, in particular in the oil circuit of gear mechanisms and internal combustion engines, comprises a first and a second filtration layer, the first filtration layer comprising an open filtration medium and being arranged on the second filtration layer comprising a tight filtration medium, an intermediate chamber being arranged between the first and the second filtration layer, so that the first and the second filtration layer are set apart from each other in the region of the intermediate chamber in the direction of filtration.

Filter medium for an oil filter

A filter is provided having more than one density of media, or more than one type of media. Three or four types of media may be arranged. Some or all of the media may be of different density material from each other. A spacer grid separates at least two of the media apart. One or more flanges on the spacer each respectively space apart two of the media from each other at a location. The one or more flanges provide a respective flow path through the flange.

A filter arrangement for the filtration of oil or an ATF fluid, in particular a transmission oil filter, has at least a first and a second filtration layer which are arranged spaced apart by at least one spacer in a filter housing to form at least one intermediate chamber. At least one magnet or a magnet arrangement for keeping iron particles out of the oil flow are provided between the first and the second filtration layers.

The invention relates to an oil filter apparatus comprising an oil inlet and an oil outlet, with a suction oil pump being connectable to the oil outlet with which a negative pressure can be produced between the oil inlet (and the oil outlet, a coarse filter medium and a fine filter medium which is arranged between the oil inlet and the oil outlet, with the oil filter apparatus being capable of allowing a volume share of the oil to pass permanently through the coarse filter medium irrespective of the viscosity of an oil passing through the oil inlet and of allowing at the same time the remaining volume share of the oil to pass through the fine filter medium. The entire oil volume flow can thus be purified in a short period of time with high efficiency, and no additional space is required outside of the transmission or engine, a light and cost-effective configuration is achieved, and the oil filter apparatus can be used in different vehicle models or types of engines without any change and thus without any reduction in the variety of variants.
