One aspect of the disclosure includes a fluid moving system. The fluid moving system includes a fluid moving apparatus configured to convey a fluid through a housing from an inlet to an outlet. The fluid moving system includes an active cleaning device configured to neutralize or remove at least a portion of an undesired matter from the fluid conveyed through the housing. The fluid moving system includes an electric motor including a rotor coupled to the fluid moving apparatus and configured to turn the fluid moving apparatus upon application of electric power to a stator of the electric motor. The fluid moving system includes a motor controller communicatively coupled to the electric motor and configured to control at least one of a speed output or a torque output thereof.

Systems and methods for controlling indoor air quality with a fluid moving apparatus

A blower assembly for a gas-burning appliance includes a blower and a motor coupled to the blower and configured to turn the blower to provide airflow through the gas-burning appliance. The blower assembly also includes a housing enclosing the blower and the motor. The housing includes a first portion and a second portion coupled to the first portion. The first portion and the second portion define a cavity therebetween to receive the motor and the blower. The blower assembly further includes an inlet sleeve coupled between the first portion and the second portion. The inlet sleeve is configured to couple to the gas-burning appliance and receive the airflow from the gas-burning appliance. The blower assembly also includes a seal extending at least partially around the inlet sleeve and at least partially between the inlet sleeve and at least one of the first portion and the second portion.

Vehicle monitoring systems and methods are described. According to one aspect, a vehicle monitoring system includes a plurality of vehicle monitoring devices individually configured to communicate with circuitry of a respective one of a plurality of vehicles being monitored by the vehicle monitoring system, to receive vehicle information regarding the one vehicle from the circuitry of the one vehicle at a plurality of moments in time, and to output a plurality of messages externally of the vehicle monitoring device at a plurality of moments in time, wherein the messages from the vehicle monitoring devices include the vehicle information being monitored by the vehicle monitoring system, and a management device configured to receive the messages and the vehicle information included within the messages, to store the vehicle information, to process the vehicle information, and to generate and output a communication regarding the vehicles to a recipient party.

Methods and systems for secure cloud provider communication are disclosed. A method may include receiving a request to transmit data from one of a first cloud provider, an entity network, and a second cloud provider to another of the first cloud provider, the entity network, and the second cloud provider. The method may further include determining levels of trust associated with the one of the first cloud provider, the entity network, and the second cloud provider and the another of the first cloud provider, the entity network, and the second cloud provider, wherein the levels of trust are based on endpoint control by the entity network. The method may also include transmitting the data from the one of the first cloud provider, the entity network, and the second cloud provider to a cloud security stack based on the determined levels of trust.

An electronic control module is provided. The electronic control module is operably connected to a power supply for providing power to a motor. The electronic control module includes an input device, a processor coupled to the input device, and first and second current supply lines. The processor is configured to generate a command signal in response to an input supplied by the input device and transmit the command signal to the motor. The command signal controls an operating point of the motor. The first and second current supply lines are operably connectable to the motor and the processor. At least one of the current supply lines, the input device and the processor are adapted to utilize the current supply lines both to transmit power to the motor and to transmit the command signal to the motor over the current supply lines.

A blower systems includes a blower housing, a gasket, and a clamp. The blower housing includes a dilution air inlet port having a tubular portion with an end margin having a plurality of flanges separated by slits enabling flexing of the plurality of flanges to resiliently move radially inwardly from an unflexed position. The gasket extends within the end margin of the dilution air inlet port. The air supply system includes an inlet portion, a combustion air portion, and a one-piece fitting having an inlet, dilution air outlet, and a combustion air outlet. The clamp is positioned radially about the plurality of flanges such that it can secure a source of dilution air within the dilution air inlet port.

The rotor assembly includes a bearing assembly. The endshield includes an annular center section including a bore sized to couple to the bearing assembly. The cover is coupled to the endshield. The cover includes a generally axially-extending flange wall formed about a perimeter of the cover, a volute-shaped inner chamber configured to at least partially enclose the rotor coupled to the rotor assembly of the electrical machine, and a cooling channel positioned radially outward from the inner chamber. The cooling channel is configured to at least partially enclose the controller assembly of the electrical machine.

An electrical machine includes a fan guard having a first air flow channel. A stator assembly is coupled to the fan guard and includes a stator yoke having a cylindrical outer surface and a stator pole shoe. The stator pole shoe includes a plurality of stator poles coupled to the stator yoke. The stator assembly includes a second air flow channel defined between the stator yoke and an adjacent pair of the stator poles. A rotor assembly is positioned inside the stator assembly. The rotor assembly includes a rotatable shaft and a rotor. The rotatable shaft defines a rotation axis. A control electronics board includes a plurality of heat making components and is enclosed in a housing having a vented base and a closure. The housing is coupled to the stator assembly opposite the fan guard. The vented base includes a plurality of vent openings opened toward the fan guard.

Electrical machine and controller and methods of assembling the same

A motor controller configured to be coupled to a motor and to a system controller is described. The motor controller includes a proportional-integral (PI) regulator coupled to a timer controller. The motor controller is configured to generate, by the PI regulator, a pulsed signal representing a reported speed of the motor. Additionally, the motor controller is configured to transmit the pulsed signal to the system controller, measure a time period that elapses for the motor to make a predefined number of revolutions, measure a number of pulses transmitted in the pulsed signal, and determine a measured speed of the motor from the time period. Further, the motor controller is configured to determine, by the PI regulator, a difference between the reported speed and the measured speed, and adjust, by the PI regulator, the pulsed signal based on the difference between the reported speed and the measured speed.

System and method for communicating data with a motor controller

A furnace assembly comprising a non-condensing furnace with a draft inducer. The draft inducer includes a permanent magnet electrically commutated motor and a draft inducer blower fan. The motor includes a stator, a rotor, a motor cooling fan, and a controller. The rotor being rotatable relative to the stator, the fan being operatively coupled to the rotor such that rotation of the rotor causes rotation of the fan, the controller being configured to selectively operate the motor in first and second different torque ranges of the rotor, with the first and second torque range operating within a fixed percentage and within a fixed percentage of each other. The controller being configured such during normal operation, the motor is not operable at any torques between the first torque range and the second torque range except during transitionary periods.
