A system method for predicting vehicle mission capability for a vehicle that is propelled by an engine includes collecting engine degradation data for the engine. Location independent engine degradation data are generated from the collected engine degradation data. The location independent engine degradation data are representative of engine degradation that is independent of locations associated with the mission. Predictions of location dependent engine degradation are calculated from the collected engine degradation data and the location independent engine degradation data. The location dependent engine degradation is representative of engine degradation due to movement through locations associated with the mission.

Vehicle mission capability prediction system and method

Methods and apparatus are provided for a device to securely support a solar radiation reducing shade screen in a spaced apart relationship to an underlying window. In one embodiment the device is a discrete spacer configured for permanent attachment to a perimeter frame portion of the window, with a bottom surface adjacent the window frame, and a top surface for supporting a perimeter frame portion of the shade screen above the window frame at a uniform height. The device may further include a clamp attachable to the spacer, and operable between a locked position in which the clamp secures the shade screen frame to the spacer, and a released position in which the shade screen frame is not constrained by the clamp.

An apparatus for carrying landscaping objects, the apparatus comprising a pair of lifting bodies, each lifting body having: a pair of substantially parallel elongated bars connected by a plurality of vertical supports, two lifting ends, two handles with one handle located near each of the two lifting ends, a joint, and a bracket; a pair of cross-assemblies, each cross-assembly having a first connecting end, a second connecting end, an inner bar, and an outer bar, wherein the first connecting end is attached substantially perpendicular to the joint of one lifting body and the second connecting end is attached substantially perpendicular to the bracket of the other lifting body; and a flexible net that is adapted for carrying attached to the pair of lifting bodies; wherein for each cross-assembly, the inner bar is adapted to slidably engage the outer bar to allow expanding and collapsing of the cross-assembly.

Landscaping carrier

An improved method for creating fibers from a material dissolved in a solvent. In one embodiment, the method includes the steps of feeding a fiber making material dissolved in a solvent through a die including at least two rows of nozzles to form fiber strands. An attenuation medium is provided about the fiber strands. The attenuation medium is provided in a direction that is generally parallel to the fiber strands such that the attenuation medium elongates the fiber strands. The attenuation medium has a relative solvent-vapor content of at least about 50 percent.
