A pipeline pig signal includes sealing means located within a lower end of the trigger cavity of the signal which prevents pipeline debris from entering the trigger cavity. The sealing means moves between a first sealing position and a second sealing position in response to the trigger moving between a non-triggered and triggered position. The sealing means may be a polymer boot, a filter arrangement, a sliding piston arrangement, or a sliding shelf arrangement.

An air flow controller for a pneumatically operated watercraft lift has a valve for opening and closing the air line to the pontoon and a manifold with a gate. The gate is biased to a first orientation in which air from the pontoon can be exhausted only to the atmosphere when the lift blower is switched 'off.' When the blower is switched 'on,' air flow from the blower moves the gate into a second orientation in which the blower can force air only into the pontoon. This configuration prevents flow of water into the blower during lowering of the pontoon while using relatively few and simple valve system components.

A connector for connecting together two floating dock sections includes a first half having a pair of slotted cylinders and a second half with a pair of cones. A pair of rods connects the first half to the second half. When the two halves are loosely connected together, the connector is inserted into opposing receiver sockets of a pair of opposing floating dock members. A flange located at an upper end of the first half arrests the downward travel of the inserted and loosely connected first and second halves. As the rods are tightened, the pair of cones travel toward the pair of slotted cylinders and cause the slotted cylinders to expand radially outward.

A lift for a watercraft has plastic reinforcing brackets which engage in pockets in the thin-walled plastic floatation tanks of the lift and which provide mounting flanges at the top surfaces of the floatation tanks for abutment with mounting pads which connect to the watercraft support frame. The brackets are engaged on the floatation tanks and the pads overlap and are bolted to the plastic brackets, so that the pads are locked against but not bolted to the floatation tanks. Thus, the integrity of the tanks is not compromised by assembly-associated openings through the tank walls. Furthermore, the bolts are above the tank waterlines so that no corrosive material is disposed below the waterlines.
