Systems and methods are disclosed for managing the operation of a plant, such as a chemical plant or a petrochemical plant or a refinery, and more particularly for enhancing system performance of a catalyzed reaction system by, among other features, detecting catalyst deactivation and cycle length. Plants may include those that provide hydrocarbon cracking or other process units. A plant may include a reactor, a heater, a catalyst bed, a separator, and other equipment. The equipment may use catalyst to treat feed products to remove compounds and produce different products. Catalysts used in the various reactors in these processes become deactivated over time. Systems and methods are disclosed for extending catalyst life and thereby improving efficiency of the plant.

Catalyst cycle length prediction using eigen analysis

Techniques for archiving audio information communicated between members of a group using an audio communication system such as a point-to-multipoint audio communication system. The archived audio information can then be retrieved by members of the group or by any other user at any time subsequent to the live transmission of the audio information. Audio information communications between communication devices used by members of a group are monitored and recorded. The recorded audio information is then analyzed to identify one or more conversation portions in the audio information. Audio information corresponding to the conversation portions is then archived. The archived information is then available for retrieval.

Techniques for archiving audio information communicated between members of a group

The animal tether comprises an upright tube connected at an upper end to the end of a lateral tube. The apparatus is rotatably mounted on a base member upstanding shaft. Extending outwardly of the tubes a tether line together with a leash line is attached to an animal. The tether line is further engaged in reciprocal turns of line with a pair of pulley blocks which in response to, and animal movement shortens the distance between blocks. This in turn lifts a weighted body slidably disposed within the tube thereby applying tension on the animal leash line to prevent the leash line from entanglement.

Tether apparatus

An animal tether comprising a base plate, a ground stake which extends through the base plate at about a 90.degree. angel, the upper end of the ground stake projecting beyond the upper surface of the base plate and the lower end of the stake adapted to project into the ground for positive engagement with the ground, an upright tubular member which cooperatively slides over the upper end of the ground stake so as to freely rotate around the stake, the tubular member having a bend or curve of about 5.degree. to 45.degree. relative to the ground stake, a flexible rod, the lower end of which is secured into the upper end of the tubular member, the upper end of the flexible rod being fitted with a guide for receiving a tether line, and a tether line, one end of which is secured to the tubular member and the other end is threaded through the guide and secured to the animal.
