Techniques for embedding a web browser in a graphical display view of a process plant include presenting a graphical display view including (i) indications of one or more process control elements, such as a control module, a function block, a process plant entity, or a process section of the process plant, and (ii) a web browser having web content from a source address. The web browser is presented according to one or several presentation parameters, such as such as a size and position of the web browser within the display view. Furthermore, the presentation parameters include restrictions on functions performed within the web browser, such as a sandbox or sandbox attributes. The presentation parameters also include a source whitelist that specifies web addresses which are allowed to be set as the source address for presenting web content.

Systems and methods for embedding a web frame with preconfigured restrictions in a graphical display view of a process plant

In example embodiments, a shortest path first-based isolation trace function is provided to determines what switchable elements need to be closed to stop flow of a quality to a location in an infrastructure model arranged as a network. The shortest path first-based isolation trace function may perform shortest-path traces from the location to each source. For each successful shortest-path trace finding one or more switchable elements, the first switchable element encountered on the path of the trace is added to a solution set, and marked as active to prevent further traversal in subsequent shortest-path traces. When all the shortest-path traces are complete, the solution set may be returned as a result. If no switchable element is found on a path of one of the shortest-path traces, it may be concluded that the location cannot be isolated and such conclusion returned as the result instead of the solution set.

Identifying switchable elements to isolate a location from sources

Systems and methods for presenting a watch area display view in a process plant are provided. Indications of process control display elements may be presented via a user interface of a computing device executing an operator application in an operating environment of a process plant. The process control display elements may be displayed in a first display region in a display view, with each of the process control display elements corresponding to process parameters. Simultaneously with the first display region, a second display region (not occluding any process control display elements) may be presented in the display view. An indication that a user has selected one of the process control display elements in the first display region for display in the second display region may be received. The one or more process parameters corresponding to the selected process control display element may be displayed in the second display region.
