A connection interface for connecting one or more devices under test (DUTs) to one or more remote test and measurement instruments includes a device-under-test connector for connecting a DUT to the interface, a host-instrument connector for connecting the interface to a host test and measurement instrument, and an electrical path between the device-under-test connector and the host-instrument connector. The connection interface also includes a display that has a first portion visually associated with the device-under-test connector and configured to display an identifier for a particular connection point on the DUT. In some embodiments, the first portion of the display is configured to display measurement data from the particular connection point on the DUT. In some embodiments, the display has a second portion that is configured to display information related to the host test and measurement instrument, or to display a name for a particular measurement of the DUT.

Dynamically configurable remote instrument interface

An electronic test measurement system can include a device under test (DUT) and an electronic test instrument that includes a signal input configured to receive an electrical signal from the DUT, a cooling mechanism, and a processor. The processor can be configured to determine a frequency at which the cooling mechanism should operate, cause the cooling mechanism to operate at the determined frequency, select a filter based on the determined frequency, and apply the filter to the electrical signal to reduce interference with the electrical signal resulting from mechanical vibrations of the cooling mechanism.

Rejection of mechanical vibration induced noise in electrical measurements

A method and apparatus for generating a desired pulse waveform including: dividing the desired pulse waveform into a plurality of line segments; assigning to each line segment at least a segment identification, a segment initial value, and a segment duration to form a waveform description; providing the waveform description to a pulse generator. The pulse generator is operable to produce a waveform corresponding to the waveform description and to output the produced waveform.

Method and apparatus for pulse generation

An instrument for measuring electrical parameters includes a measurement section having a measurement aperture; and a support section providing at least one of power and digital control for the measurement section. The support section has an interference signal frequency, wherein the interference frequency is an integer multiple of the reciprocal of the measurement aperture and the measurement aperture and the interference signal are phase-locked. As a result, the effect of the interference signal on electrical parameters measured is minimized.

Measurement instrument with synchronized interference signals

An AC impedance measurement system is used for measuring the impedance of a DUT. A measured voltage is applied to a first DUT terminal by a first digital to analog converter, the voltage appearing at the second terminal of the DUT is monitored through an analog to digital converter and forced by a second digital to analog converter to a desired negligible value, and a digital controller determines the impedance of the DUT from the measured voltage and the current necessary to force the voltage appearing at the second terminal to the desired negligible value.

Digital auto balance bridge

A method for operating a DAC to minimize digital feedthrough includes inputting a clock signal to a DAC clock input, the clock signal having a periodic series of trigger events, wherein input data must be present for a time window between a setup time before a trigger event and a hold time after the trigger event; generating an input data stream, the input data stream having data that is present for the time window; altering the input data stream into a cancellation data stream wherein the data presence is maintained but pseudo-data outside of the time window is added; and applying the cancellation data stream to a DAC data input resulting in an analog signal output.
