A driver authentication and safety system and method for monitoring and controlling vehicle usage by high-risk drivers. A centralized database comprising a software application can be accessed by an authorized user via a data communications network utilizing a remote computer in order to configure a desired operating profile that matches requirements of the high-risk driver. The operating profile can be loaded to a driver identification and data logging device in conjunction with the remote computer. A master control unit receives a unique identification code from the data logging device to authenticate the high-risk driver and to operate the vehicle within the desired operating profile. A slave control unit receives commands from the master control unit and generates a real time alarm signal if the driver violates the preprogrammed operating profile unique to the driver.

The current invention pertains to a system and a method for detection and monitoring of traffic patterns and securely processing events of violations of Slow-Down-Move-Over (SDMO) traffic regulations on at least one designated traffic surface utilizing at least one mobile platform, equipped with at least one traffic monitoring and recording system for observation, monitoring, recording, storing and processing data pertinent to potential violations of a set of SDMO regulations, prepositioned in proximity of at least one traffic scene including the at least one traffic surface.

Method and systems for traffic surveillance and law enforcement

An anti-theft system for an automobile includes a microprocessor-based control module that enables operation of solenoids for the power circuits of the car only if a proper identification code is entered by a data entry device and the automobile's ignition switch is sequenced through its positions. The anti-theft device further includes operating a serial switch placed in a critical electrical circuit for the engine, and data communications capability with electronic controls for the engine and other systems on the automobile so as to limit or to disable their function.

Automotive security system

An electronic lock security system includes a coded key and a multiple position key receiver switch having a code sensing circuit for generating signals indicative of the key's code. A decoder compares the key's code to a preset code and when a match is determined outputs a control code to a switch control circuit. A switch control circuit includes flip-flops for remembering when switch positions intermediate the off and last positions have been accessed and output control signals upon receipt of the decoder's control signal. The flip-flop outputs are consecutively ANDed together down to the last position to permit operation of a power switch to provide working power to a solenoid operated device only when all positions of the multiple key receiver have been accessed during operation. For a typical automobile ignition switch having OFF, ACCESSORY, ON, and START positions, power switches are connected to the accessory and on positions outputs of the switch control for supplying power to solenoid operated devices. Also, to prevent connecting an auxiliary battery to the starter solenoid, or other methods of bypass such as hot wiring, etc., an enable switch circuit is provided for connection as closely as possible to the starter solenoid switch. The enable circuit produces a unique voltage for passage through a comparator to bias on a transistor switch connected in series with the starter's solenoid.
