A key press facilitates securing a shackle assembly used for connecting chains, buoys, and other devices used for watercraft applications. The shackle assembly includes a shackle, a bolt, and a split key. The shackle has two shackle legs with openings. The bolt includes a shaft with a distal end having a slot. The split key has two split key legs extending from an enlarged rounded end. The key press includes a receptacle and a wedge head having an apex. The shaft of the bolt is passed through the shackle leg openings and then the split key legs are passed through the slot. The distal end of the bolt is the placed into the receptacle. The wedge head is lowered until the apex is placed between the split key legs which are then bent away from each other so as to secure the shackle assembly.

An electrical power cable includes a central support or a ground conductor surrounded by an insulating material layer. An inner grounded shield is disposed on the support or on the ground conductor. A plurality of insulated line conductors and a plurality of insulated neutral conductors are circumferentially disposed in an annular arrangement about an insulation layer on the inner shield. The plurality of line and neutral conductors are disposed in various alternating single, double or triple conductor groups. The total cross-sectional area of all of the line conductors or all of the neutral conductors is substantially equal to the total cross-sectional area of a single large conductor of equivalent ampere rating. An outer shield is disposed about the line and neutral conductors and covered by an outer insulating layer.

Power cable

A medical apparatus whose purpose it is to permanently retard future use of a medical apparatus, in particular needles, preventing accidental exposure to contaminated sharps. It facilitates the possible removal of medical devices from their respective holders, while preventing possible contaminated discharge of fluids located along the anterior or exterior walls of needles or exterior of medical sharps. This medical apparatus provides for single handed use which complies with OSHA guidelines, and its advanced design facilitates the more common shorter medical needles to which non-medical users are accustomed as well as the wide range of needles that medical professional use. This apparatus is easier to manufacture, shorter in stature that allows for its inclusion in the already overcrowded medical trays used by today's medical personnel, in particular, emergency medical technicians. An embodiment contains multiple apparatuses together allowing for safe storage of several sharps, which is a common need in emergency situations both in the field and in the hospital settings, where doctors or technicians are attempting to stabilize critical patients with multiple injections. The apparatus uses counter-opposing gripping devices with an enveloping containment member which serves both to tension the juxtapositionally aligned gripping devices and to prevent leakage of contaminated fluids from medical devices.

A skin-marking device is disclosed that has a holder body and cap having a shape other than round, preferably triangular, to prevent the device from accidentally rolling off a flat surface. Measuring indicia is disposed on the device for accurately measuring distances. The device contains a dermatologically acceptable coloring agent for marking a patient's skin and one that may be selected from the group consisting of a radioopaque substance for x-ray diagnostic purposes, a fluorescent composition, a non-magnetic hydrogel for nuclear magnetic resonance imaging diagnostic purposes, a sterilizable gel ink, a combination of any of these, and a mixture of any of these. The holder body or cap may include a pocket clip or magnet attached thereto to permit the skin marker to be clipped inside a person's pocket or prevented from sliding off a magnetic drape or other magnetic surface, respectively. The skin marker may also come in a number of different sizes, one of which is optionally short enough to allow it to fit into a needle counter box to be packaged as part of a mini kit.

An inner grounded shield is formed on the surface of the ground conductor or between the ground conductor and line and neutral conductors. A plurality of insulated line conductors and a plurality of insulated neutral conductors are circumferentially disposed in an annular arrangement about an insulation layer on the inner shield. The plurality of line and neutral conductors are each disposed circumferentially side-by-side in separate groups of line and neutral conductors. The total cross-sectional area of each group of line conductors and neutral conductors is substantially equal to the total cross-sectional area of a single large conductor of equivalent ampere rating. An outer shield is disposed about the line and neutral conductors and covered by an outer insulating layer. PVC insulation surrounds all of the conductors and is used to form the shields and other insulating layers to minimize movement of the individual conductors within the cable.
