A device for treating disease along a main vessel and at least one branch vessel extending from the main vessel includes a branch member for deployment in the branch vessel, the branch member having a branch lumen; and a main body for deployment in the main vessel. The main body has a generally tubular wall extending generally longitudinally between opposite first and second ends. The wall has an internal surface defining a main lumen and an opposite outer surface. The wall has a recessed portion that is recessed relative to the outer surface of the wall and positioned between the first and second ends of the main body. The main body has an opening formed in the recessed portion of the wall for receiving the branch member therethrough such that the branch lumen is in fluid communication with the main lumen.

A composition for topical application of a botulinum toxin (including botulinum toxin derivatives) comprises a botulinum toxin and a carrier comprising a polymeric backbone comprising a long-chain polypeptide or nonpeptidyl polymer having attached positively charged branching or 'efficiency' groups. The invention also relates to methods for reducing muscle paralysis and other conditions that may be treated with a botulinum toxin, particularly paralysis of subcutaneous, and most particularly, facial, muscles, by topically applying an effective amount of the botulinum toxin and carrier, in conjunction, to the subject's skin or epithelium. The present invention provides, in a first aspect a bifurcated stent for use in juxtaposition with an angelogical bifurcation. The bifurcated stent comprises a proximal portion adapted to be disposed within a blood vessel in juxtaposition with a bifurcation, a first distal stent portion adapted to extend across the bifurcation into one of the branched blood vessels, and a second distal stent portion adapted to allow blood to flow from the proximal portion into the other branch blood vessel. The invention also embraces a bifurcated prosthesis including such a bifurcated stent and a tubular graft layer formed from a biocompatible fabric in juxtaposition with the stent. In a second aspect of the invention there is provided a stent connection for joining two stents one to the other to define a continuous lumen through the two stents. Said stent connection comprises a first stent including a male engaging portion which can be compressed radially inwardly and a second stent including a female cooperating portion. Said male engaging portion can be entered into the female cooperating portion in a radially compressed state and thereafter caused or allowed to expand in the female cooperating portion to join the two stents together.
