A system for measuring phase attributes of high voltage electrical lines comprises first and second high voltage probes. Each of the probes comprises a sensing element for selectively measuring voltage of a high voltage electrical line, a processing device for detecting zero crossings of the measured voltage and applying a time tag to the zero crossings, and storing samples of the amplitude and time tagged zero crossings. A transceiver transmits storage samples. A user interface device is remote from the first and second high voltage probes and comprises a transceiver for receiving transmitted storage samples. A memory stores received samples of the time tagged zero crossings for the first and second high voltage electrical lines. A processor is operatively associated with the memory for determining phase relationships between the first and second high voltage electrical lines. A display displays the phase relationships.

A high voltage detection device comprises a probe comprising an electrode for sensing a high voltage electrical line. The electrode is connected in series with a resistor. A meter comprises a housing enclosing a control for measuring parameters of line voltage. The control comprises an input module for connection to the probe to develop a voltage signal. A signal processing module receives the voltage signal and determines parameters of line voltage and drives an audio module. The audio module provides an audio output representing the determined parameters of line voltage.

System and method to provide talking feature and interactive voice menu in phasing meters

A device for dispensing products senses when the respective products are accessed. A signal indicative of day and time of access can be transmitted to a remote monitoring station. Received signals can be compared to a pre-established schedule.

A monitoring system for purposes of enhancing independent living incorporates a wearable communication device, such as a cellular telephone, in combination with a recharging base which might be coupled to a wire line telephone system. Either or both of the base station and wearable device can be in communication with sensors scattered through an individual's residence for purposes of collecting data pertaining to activities of daily living. Either or both of the wearable unit and base station could incorporate sensors responsive to physiological parameters of the resident. Both units can independently communicate with third party monitors to communicate data about, or direct immediate attention to the state of an individual using the system.
